Plot: A love tale

Karthi: My mother is a great fan of the trio( Sivakumar, Suriya and Karthi) and loves Mr.Sivakumar’s family to the core. I have never admired Karthi and I keep telling my mother “I would start admiring karthi, if he changes the way he smiles”. Unfortunately, that has never happened . Leaving aside all that if we have to talk about Kaatru veliyidai, everybody knows that Mr.Mani will get the work out from his cast . Karthik sports an Airforce officer in this movie, at certain places I felt that the majestic feel that an officer should carry was missing. But Karthi, delivers a flawless performance. Especially in the climax scenes he has done a great job.

Aditi Rao Hydari: I am great fan of her from Wazir. After Dilse, I feel that Mr.Mani is back on track and chosen the right heroine. Hats off to her she has learnt the language and her lip sync was perfect right from songs to delivering the dialogues. Usually for Bollywood heroines they dont keep close up shots while delivering the dialogues, for her there were a lot of close shots. So, one small mistake it can be easily spotted. Above all I will give 200/100 for her expression. Not a stint of over acting.

A.r Rahman: “Oscar”, how can ARR deliver a BGM score where you cannot find fault with. Leave him alone with his keyboard in his recording center with light over his head and he delivers a music that will keep ringing in your ears for days. Undoubtedly Vaan Varuvan, Kelayo were the best. The BGM score was simply astounding. I do not have the capability to talk much about the Mozart. Stupendous job by ARR

Ravi Verman : “Gods eye”, you might plan to go to a foreign country for a trip. But after a Mani Ratnam movie, you will be convinced, that “Let us look at that place that was shown in the movie. Mr.Ravi Verman countless amount of awards to be collected , two hands will not be enough. Costumes are closely associated to the camera. If you have the best location , good lighting , you should adhere to the best clothing. Eka lakhani is the costume designer of the movie and she has a done a great job. Especially when it came to Aditi’s clothes they were stupendous. Three ppl in k town does justice to costumes Mr.Mani, Shankar and Vishnu Vardhan

Mani Ratnam: Should I even talk about the Legend. My first movie in theater was Anjali. Right from those days I have never missed a Mani Ratnam movie. I watch it on the first day or a day later but not too late. He always takes up the current scenario or a hot topic that revolves around and delivers it on the screen. I am so sorry to say that this movie did not have a firm story line that can convince you . It is a love tale between two people from two different extremes. Tamil cinema has seen enough of this from Mouna Ragam to Kushi and what not. The movie had an itsy bitsy mashup of all his previous movies. After Kadal this movie was a disappointment

Verdict : Kaatru Veliyidai a dark room with no air , but light and sound is fine

P.S: Who will like this movie,
1) If you are newly married
2) If you are away from your wife and girl friend
3) If you had a recent breakup
4) DIe hard Mani Ratnam fan
Yes ppl with the above categories “might” like it :
