Karuppan Movie Review Retrospect


This movie will be one of the best in vijay sethupathi’s career.

As we all get the flavor of a village by hearing this title the movie is totally based on rural scenes.
This is an action thriller film written and directed by R. Panneerselvam. The lead roles are done by Vijay sethupathi, Tanya and Bobby simha.
This film is produced by A. M. Rathnam and S. Aishwarya

The main plot of the story is, ‘Maayi’ , a rich and well-known person all around the village agrees to get his sister Anbuselvi married to karuppan if karuppan wins by taming the bull. As karuppan wins , Anbuselvi marries him. Maayi’s relative ‘kadhir’ had a hope of marrying Anbuselvi. As it couldn’t happen kadhir plans to uncouple them and brings misunderstanding among everyone. Will karuppan get rid of all the problems and that explains the remaining plot of the film.

Vijay sethupathi has given a complete justice to the character ‘ karuppan’. As vijay sethupathi is always known for his unique way of acting, this movie once again proves it.
His dialogue delivery, looks, body language, everything are beyond perfection.
Tanya has given her debut in this film. She has done her character with excellence. She has performed her role better than an experienced artist. Tanya has done an equally powerful role in the film.
Bobby simha has done a negative role. His dialogue delivery and body language is well appreciated.
Pasupathy as maayi, singam puli and many other actors have contributed equally in the film.

Cinematography is done by Mr. K. A. sakthivel.
Cinematography is really amazing through out the film. All the songs were beautifully shot. Every scenes were shot with complete perfection.
Editing is done by Mr. V. T. vijayan.
Music composition is done by Mr. D. Imman. All the songs are rendered beautifully.
A special note must be given for the back ground score.

VERDICT : Overall, this is a complete village based family entertainment film.
