Actor Ravi Mohan, who launched his production house Ravi Mohan Studios last month with three ambitious projects, created a sensation in the industry with the grand event. Adding more intrigue to the occasion was Ravi Mohan’s exhilarated statement, “Finally, I have become a director.” His directorial debut, featuring Yogi Babu in the lead role, is now titled An Ordinary Man.

Actor Ashwin Kakumanu has become the talk of the town for a valid reason — his never-before-seen antagonistic avatar in Atharvaa Murali’s Thanal. The film, slated for worldwide theatrical release on September 12, recently had its early preview and press shows, which garnered an extraordinary reception for Ashwin’s tremendous performance. தரங்கம், ஜல்லிக்கட்டு, குல்மொஹர் போன்ற படங்களில் தனித்துவமான நடிப்புக்குப் பெயர் பெற்ற சாந்தி, தனது ஒவ்வொரு கதாபாத்திரத்திலும் நுணுக்கத்தையும் நம்பகத்தன்மையையும் கொண்டு வந்தவர். ஆக்ஸ்ஃபோர்ட் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் பட்டம் பெற்ற அவர், கல்வியுலகிலிருந்து கதை சொல்லும் உலகிற்கு வந்தவர், தனது தனித்துவமான பார்வையையும் சிந்தனையையும் கொண்டு வந்துள்ளார்.
திரைக்கதை இணை எழுத்தாளராக இருப்பதைக் கடந்தும், லோகாவில் அவர், கதையின் கருத்து வடிவமைப்பிலும், தயாரிப்புக் கட்டங்களிலும் முக்கிய பங்காற்றினார். பல்வேறு துறைகளோடு இணைந்து, செழுமையான விபரங்களுடன் கூடிய ஒருமைப்பாட்டான திரைப்பட அனுபவத்தை உருவாக்க உதவினார். பண்டைய நாட்டுப்புறக் கதைகளையும் நவீன கற்பனை-சூப்பர்வுமன் கான்செப்டையும் இணைத்து, அதனைப் பெண் பார்வையில் வேரூன்றச் செய்தது லோகாவை தனித்துவமான படைப்பாக மாற்றியுள்ளது.

சினிமா ரசிகர்கள் தற்போது Chapter 2 மற்றும் அடுத்தடுத்த பாகங்களை ஆவலுடன் எதிர்பார்த்து வரும் நிலையில், அண்மையில் ‘மூத்தோன்’ எனும் கதாபாத்திரத்தின் அடையாளம் வெளிப்படுத்தப்பட்டு, மெகா ஸ்டார் மம்முட்டி இந்த தொடரில் இணைவதை உறுதிசெய்திருப்பது ரசிகர்களை பரவசத்தில் ஆழ்த்தியுள்ளது. இதுகுறித்து கேட்கப்பட்ட போது சாந்தி சிரித்துக்கொண்டு, “இப்படம் போன்ற தொடரில் ஒரு புராண நாயகன் இணைவது எங்களுக்கு பெருமை. ஆனால் எங்களுக்கு முக்கியமானது – Chapter 1 போலவே எங்கள் திறமையான கூட்டாளர்களை உற்சாகப்படுத்தும் திரைக்கதைகளை தொடர்ந்து எழுதிக் கொண்டிருப்பதே,” எனக் கூறினார்.
லோகா: Chapter 1 – சந்திராவின் மூலம் சாந்தி பாலச்சந்திரன், நடிகை, எழுத்தாளர், கதைசொல்லி என இந்திய சினிமாவின் பல்திறமையான படைப்பாளிகளில் ஒருவராக தன்னை மீண்டும் நிரூபித்துள்ளார். இன்னும் தொடங்கியிருக்கிற அவரது படைப்புப் பயணம், எதிர்காலத்தில் மேலும் பல அற்புதங்களை வெளிப்படுத்தும் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.
