His vision strongly revolves around encouraging fresh minds and young talent, and his upcoming production stands as a testimony to that mission.

Titled “Andha 7 Naatkal,” this never-before-seen romantic thriller stars Ajitej and Shriswetha in lead roles and is directed by M. Sundar. The film’s first single, composed by Sachin Sundar, has been unveiled today and has already received phenomenal response, significantly raising expectations for the film.

Speaking about the film, Producer Murali Kabirdass shares, “When I made the decision to produce films, my goal was to create something truly fresh, something the audience has never seen before. There are so many untapped areas in storytelling, waiting to be explored by young and undiscovered talents in Tamil cinema. At BESTCAST Studios, we strive to bring such vibrant minds to the forefront. I believe collaborations like these are the need of the hour, rather than following repetitive formulas.”

He continues, “In the process of finding unique stories, I came across a script by director M. Sundar, but with an intriguing twist, a celestial element. I can’t reveal more, as it would spoil the experience, but once the narration ended, I couldn’t hold back and decided to go ahead. Everything fell into place perfectly — from the casting to the execution. Ajitej and Shriswetha, along with the rest of the cast, have delivered powerful performances that have taken the film to another level.”

On choosing the music director, he adds, “We went through an elaborate process to find someone who could deeply understand the soul of this story. While reviewing many sample tracks, one stood out and felt deeply connected to the film’s emotional core. To our surprise, the composer turned out to be Sachin Sundar, the son of director Sundar. His score has added an entirely new dimension to the film. The contribution of our entire technical crew has been invaluable.”

Regarding the title, “Andha 7 Naatkal,” the producer says, “After the script narration, both director Sundar and I felt that this title would be a fitting tribute to the legendary K. Bhagyaraj,with whom Sundar was associated with. The title felt naturally aligned with the story, and with respect and gratitude, we approached Bhagyaraj sir. He graciously and immediately gave us permission to use the title, and we are honored by his gesture.”

He also added that his company’s primary and main focus is to create many young talents to serve the industry for long. “Fresh talents are the future of the industry and we whole heartedly support the younger talents from all horizons “ he brims with confidence and pride.

The film has been shot extensively across the vibrant locales of Chennai and Kodaikanal, and the entire shoot was wrapped up in 45 days.

இசையமைப்பாளரை தேர்ந்தெடுத்தது பற்றி பேசும்போது, “இந்தக் கதையின் ஆன்மாவை புரிந்து கொண்ட ஒருவர்தான் இந்தக் கதைக்கு இசையமைக்க வேண்டும் என தீர்மானித்தோம். அப்படி பல சாம்பிள் டிராக்குகள் பார்த்த பின்பு இயக்குநர் சுந்தரின் மகன் சச்சின் சுந்தர் எங்களுக்கு சரியான தேர்வாக இருந்தார். அவரது இசை படத்திற்கு புது எனர்ஜி கொடுத்துள்ளது. ஒட்டுமொத்த தொழில்நுட்பக்குழுவினரின் பங்களிப்பும் சிறப்பானதாக அமைந்தது” என்றார்.

Chennai, 23 July 2025: Kauvery Hospital, Vadapalani, one of Chennai’s prominent health-care center has announced the launch of its Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) Clinic, a facility designed to offer patients a comprehensive approach to managing this complex cardiac condition. Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy is a condition where the heart muscle thickens abnormally, often due to genetic factors. Shakthi Thirumagan marks the 25th film of Vijay Antony, who has been consistently delivering successful hits as an actor. His recent release ‘Maargan’ has successfully made a big time in the box office, and is now all set to make a grand OTT premiere tonight. During this juncture, Vijay Antony celebrated his birthday today (July 24) with press and media family, thereby launching the Doubles of this film, thereby creating a new trend. Besides, he kick-started the promotions of this film by engaging the press and media fraternity in a lively manner.

முதலில் விஜய் ஆண்டனி சாருக்கு பிறந்தநாள் வாழ்த்துகள். அவருக்கு இது 25வது திரைப்படம். அவரைப் பற்றி பேசும் போது மலரும் நினைவுகள் தான் வருகிறது. நான் வாய்ப்பு தேடிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் போது சூளைமேடு கில் நகரில் அவர் ஸ்டுடியோ வைத்திருந்தார். ‘நெஞ்சாங் கூட்டில் நீயே நிற்கிறாய்’ என்ற பாடல் மிகவும் பிரபலமான காலகட்டம் அது. அந்த சமயத்தில் தான் நான் அவரது ஸ்டுடியோவிற்கு சென்று வாய்ப்பு கேட்டேன். அந்தப் பாட்டையே வேறு மாதிரி எழுதி கொடுங்கள் என்று எனக்கு தேர்வு வைத்தார். நானும் எழுதிக் கொடுத்தேன். அதைப் பார்த்துவிட்டு மெட்டுக்குள் வரும்படி நன்றாக எழுதி இருக்கிறீர்கள். நான் அழைக்கிறேன் என்று கூறினார். சிறிது நாட்களிலேயே ஒரு தொடருக்கு இசையமை இசையமைத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார். அப்போது ஒரு பாடலுக்கு மெட்டு கொடுத்து எழுத சொன்னார். ‘என்னை தேடி காதல் என்னும் தூது அனுப்பு’ என்ற மெட்டுக்கு நான் எழுதிக் கொடுத்தேன். என்னோடு சேர்ந்து தேன்மொழி தாஸ் என்கிற கவிஞரும் பாடல் எழுதினார். ஆனால் அவருடைய வரிகள் ஆழமாக இருந்ததால் அவருடைய வரிகளையே எடுத்துக் கொண்டார்கள். அதன் பிறகு நான் வாய்ப்பு தேடவில்லை. நிறைய கற்றுக் கொள்ளலாம் என்று இருந்தேன். அப்போது விஜய் ஆண்டனி சார் இசையமைக்கவில்லை ஆனால் அவர் நடித்த கொலை படத்தில் இரண்டு பாடல்களை எழுதும் வாய்ப்பு கிடைத்தது. அதன் பிறகு ரோமியோ படத்தில் நான் எழுதிய ‘சிடு சிடு’ பாடல் நன்றாக பேசப்பட்டது.

அருண் உடைய முதல் இரண்டு படங்களை பற்றி பேச வேண்டும் என்று நான் நினைக்கிறேன். அருவி மற்றும் வாழ் போன்ற திரைப்படங்களை நுணுக்கமாக கவனித்தால் நாம் வாழ்கின்ற வாழ்க்கை சமூகமாகவும் அரசியலாகவும் உளவியல் ரீதியாகவும் சரி இல்லை என்று தோன்றுகின்ற படமாக இருக்கும். அதிலும் அருவி நாம் தப்பு தப்பாக வாழ்ந்து கொண்டு சமூகத்தை தவறாக சொல்கிறோம் என்று நம்மை கேள்வி கேட்கும் படமாகவும், சுட்டி காட்டுகின்ற படமாகவும் இருக்கும்.

ஒரு தனி மனிதன் சரியாக இல்லை என்றால் ஒரு சமூகம் சரியாக அமையாது என்பதை மிக அழகாக, ஆழமாக வாழ் படத்தில் கட்டமைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும். இந்த இரண்டு படங்களும் பிடிக்கும் என்பதை தாண்டி நாம் தேடிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் வாழ்க்கையை முன்பும் பின்பும் காட்டிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள். அது நமக்கு புரியவில்லையே என்கிற ஏக்கம் இந்த இரண்டு படங்களிலும் இருந்து கொண்டே இருக்கிறது. குறிப்பாக வாழ் படத்தை வைத்து சமூகத்தில் நாம் கலந்து ஆலோசத்திருக்க வேண்டிய படம்.

கேப்டன் விஜயகாந்த் கதாநாயகனாக நடித்த இப்படத்திற்கு இசைஞானி இளையராஜா இசையமைத்து இருந்தார். சரத்குமார், ரூபிணி, ரம்யா கிருஷ்ணன், மன்சூர் அலிகான், லிவிங்ஸ்டன், காந்திமதி என பல முக்கிய நட்சத்திரங்கள் இந்த படத்தில் நடித்துள்ளனர்.

The instant attraction that audiences drew from the trailer of Blackmail was the tagline, “Based on your story…” Naturally, it stirred the inquisitiveness to check whether this is something that every viewer can relate to and resonate with. Director Mu. Maran, who is silently but steadily scaling greater heights in the Tamil film industry with back-to-back content-driven super hit films like Kannai Nambathey and Iravukku Aayiram Kangal, is all set to present his next directorial outing, Blackmail, featuring GV Prakash Kumar in the lead role. With the film hitting screens worldwide on August 1st, 2025, the director shares his thoughts on the film’s core theme and the team behind it.

“Blackmail has been an inevitable ritual, and in other words, an unwritten practice, in the history of humanity. Well, sometimes it could be a short humorous phase among friends, and sometimes, it could have a life-threatening impact when the deepest secrets are on the brink of exposure.

So, Blackmail is a story that revolves around multiple characters, and how the protagonist gets drawn into troubled waters, and his aftermath battling to tackle the odds. Blackmail has lots of thrills, surprises, and entertainment that can be enjoyed with families and friends,” says Mu. Maran.

The film’s trailer delivers an impactful experience, as all the actors seem to have substantial roles. Mu. Maran says:

“I have to admit the fact that GV Prakash Kumar sir has become a prominent and unavoidable tonic of hope for assistant directors and filmmakers with content-driven scripts. When there’s a film with unique content, his name is the first one to pop up in everyone’s mind, as he never misses the opportunity to encourage such stories.

When I wrote the script of Blackmail itself, GV Prakash Kumar sir was the obvious choice to fill the protagonist’s role. Teju Ashwini, Srikanth, Bindu Madhavi, everyone has significant characters in the film, and their presence will be felt from beginning till the end.”

Speaking about the technical crew, Mu. Maran adds: “Sam CS has elevated the entire film with his powerful BGM, and his songs have already garnered more attention towards the film. D. Imman sir’s track is yet another embellishment to the film. I am so blessed to have a promising team of technicians who have given more life to my script.

My heartiest thanks to producer Jayakkodi Amalraj sir, who, despite many challenges, ensured that the film’s progression and creative scope never got compromised.”

‘உங்களுடைய கதையை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்டு…’ என்ற டேக்லைனுடன் ‘பிளாக்மெயில்’ படத்தின் டிரெய்லர் வெளியானபோதே ரசிகர்கள் இந்தப் படத்தை அதிகம் எதிர்பார்த்துள்ளனர். ’இரவுக்கு ஆயிரம் கண்கள்’, ‘கண்ணை நம்பாதே’ போன்ற தரமான ஹிட் படங்களைக் கொடுத்த இயக்குநர் மு. மாறன் அடுத்து ஜிவி பிரகாஷ்குமார் கதாநாயகனாக நடித்துள்ள ‘பிளாக்மெயில்’ படத்தை இயக்கியுள்ளார். இந்தப் படம் ஆகஸ்ட் 1, 2025 அன்று உலகம் முழுவதும் திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியாகிறது. படம் குறித்தான அனுபவத்தை இயக்குநர் பகிர்ந்து கொண்டார்.

“மனிதகுல வரலாற்றில் பிளாக்மெயில் என்பது தவிர்க்க முடியாத, எழுதப்படாத நடைமுறை. சில நேரங்களில் இது நண்பர்களிடையே நகைச்சுவைக்காக செய்யப்படலாம். ஆனால், சில நேரங்களில் ஆழமான ரகசியங்கள் வெளிக்கொண்டு வரும் விதமாகவும், பல நேரங்களில் பிளாக்மெயில் உயிருக்கு ஆபத்தை ஏற்படுத்தும் விதமாகவும் அமைகிறது. ‘பிளாக்மெயில்’ படம் பல கதாபாத்திரங்களை சுற்றி நடக்கிறது. கதாநாயகன் தான் எதிர்கொள்ளும் பிரச்சினைகளை எப்படி சமாளிக்கிறான் என்பதுதான் கதை. நிறைய த்ரில், ஆச்சரியம் மற்றும் எண்டர்டெயின்மெண்ட் கொண்டிருக்கிறது. நிச்சயம் குடும்பம் மற்றும் நண்பர்களுடன் இந்தப் படத்தை நீங்கள் பார்க்கலாம்” என்றார் இயக்குநர் மு. மாறன்.

படத்தில் நடித்திருக்கும் நடிகர்கள் பற்றி பகிர்ந்து கொண்டதாவது, “உதவி இயக்குநர்கள் மற்றும் நல்ல கதைகள் இயக்கும் இயக்குநர்களுக்கு நம்பிக்கை கொடுப்பவர் ஜிவி பிரகாஷ்குமார் என்பதை அவரின் முந்திய படங்கள் சொல்லும். வித்தியாசமான கதை எனும்போது பலருக்கும் அவரின் பெயர்தான் முதலில் நினைவுக்கு வரும். அதுபோன்ற கதைகளை அவரும் மிஸ் செய்ய மாட்டார். அப்படித்தான் ஜிவி பிரகாஷ்குமார் இந்தக் கதையில் வந்தார். தேஜூ அஸ்வினி, ஸ்ரீகாந்த், பிந்து மாதவி மற்றும் படத்தில் நடித்திருக்கும் அனைவருக்கும் கதை தொடங்கியதில் இருந்து முடியும் வரைக்கும் முக்கியமான கதாபாத்திரம் கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது” என்றார்.
