Recently, the makers made an extraordinary announcement — the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe. Now, the much-awaited trailer of Mahavatar Narsimha has been released, and it’s nothing short of top-notch and absolutely amazing.

The trailer is a visual spectacle that offers a glimpse into a significant story from Indian history. It revolves around Prahlada, a devoted follower of Lord Vishnu, who faces opposition from his atheist father, Hiranyakashipu, blessed by Lord Brahma with immortality. பரமு, செல்பிஷ் படங்களை இயக்கிய மாணிக் ஜெய்.N இயக்கத்தில் மூன்றாவதாக உருவாகியுள்ள படம் ‘கைமேரா’. ‘வச்சுக்கவா’ படத்தில் கதாநாயகனாக நடித்த இவர் ‘பரமு’ என்கிற படத்தின் மூலம் இயக்குனராக மாறினார். தொடர்ந்து தமிழ் மற்றும் தெலுங்கு ஹிந்தி மொழியில் உருவாகி வரும் செல்பிஷ் என்கிற படத்தை இயக்கி நடித்துள்ளார். இந்தநிலையில் தற்போது கைமேரா என்கிற படத்தையும் இயக்கி முடித்துள்ளார் மாணிக் ஜெய்.

இத்திரைப்படத்தில் அறிமுக நாயகனாக LNT எத்திஷ் நடிக்கிறார்.. மாறுபட்ட வேடங்களில் தாரை கிருஷ்ணன், ரஞ்சித் குமார் மற்றும் இன்னொரு முக்கியமான கதாபாத்திரத்தில் இயக்குனர் மாணிக் ஜெய் நடித்துள்ளனர்.. கதையின் நாயகிகளாக சௌமியா, கிருஷ்ண நந்து, ஞானேஸ்வரி உள்ளிட்ட மூன்று பேர் நடித்திருக்கின்றனர்..

மனித உடம்புக்குள் மிருகங்களின் செல்கள் புகுத்தப்பட்டால், மனிதனின் குணம் மிருக குணமாக மாறினல் அதன் தாக்கம் எப்படி இருக்கும் என்பதை மையமாக வைத்து இந்தப்படம் உருவாகியுள்ளது. பான் இந்தியா படமாக உருவாயுள்ள ‘கைமேரா’ விரைவில் தமிழ், தெலுங்கு, மலையாளம், கன்னடம் மற்று ஹிந்தி ஆகிய ஐந்து மொழிகளில் வெளியாக உள்ளது.

தயாரிப்பாளரும் இயக்குநருமான மாணிக் ஜெய் பேசும்போது,

“இதில் நடித்துள்ள LNT எத்திஷ் என்னுடன் செல்பிஷ் படத்தில் நடித்தவர். இந்த படம் உருவாவதற்கு காரணம் விஎப்எக்ஸ் ரோஹித் தான். செல்பிஷ் படம் எடிட்டிங்கில் கொஞ்சம் தாமதமாகும் என அவர் கூறியபோது அந்த நேரத்தில் உருவான கதை தான் இது. அந்த சமயத்தில் நானே நடிக்கிறேன் என எத்திஷ் கூறினார். உங்களுடைய உண்மையான குணாதிசயத்திற்கு நேர்மாறான கதாபாத்திரம் என்று கூறினேன். நான் நினைத்ததை விட நன்றாக நடித்திருக்கிறார். சௌமியா கிருஷ்ணா நந்து இருவருமே போட்டி போட்டு நடித்திருக்கிறார்கள். ரஞ்சித் என்னுடன் முதல் படத்திலிருந்து பயணித்து வருகிறார். அவரும் இந்த படத்திற்கு ரிகர்சல் இல்லாமலேயே மிகச்சிறப்பான நடிப்பை கொடுத்திருக்கிறார். இந்த படம் தமிழ் மற்றும் தெலுகு ஹிந்தி மொழிகளில் நேரடியாக எடுக்கப்பட்டது தான், சில நடிகர்கள் மட்டுமே பெங்களூரில் இருந்து இதில் நடித்திருக்கிறார்கள்” என்று கூறினார். படத்தில் ஐந்து பாடல்கள் ஒன்று மோகன் ராஜன் எழுத மற்ற நான்கு பாடல்கள் கவிதார்கோ எழுதியுள்ளார்.

இசையமைப்பாளர் விக்னேஷ் ராஜா பேசும்போது,

“இந்த படத்தில் ஐந்து பாடல்கள் இடம் பெற்றுள்ளன. படம் ஒரு சயின்ஸ் திரில்லர் ஆக உருவாகி இருக்கிறது. படத்திற்காக எடுக்கப்பட்ட காட்சிகள் அனைத்துமே பயமுறுத்தும் விதமாக, பணியாற்றுவதற்கு சவாலாக இருந்தன” என்று பேசினார்.

விஎப்எக்ஸ் பணிகளை மேற்கொண்ட ரோஹித் பேசும்போது,

இயல்பாகவே ஒரு சில மனிதர்களுக்கு கொஞ்சம் மிருக குணம் இருக்கும். இந்த மிருக குணம் அதீத அளவிற்கு செல்லும்போது மற்ற மனிதர்களுக்கும் இந்த சமுதாயத்திற்கும் எந்தவித தாக்கத்தை கொடுக்கும் என்றும் அது அதிகரிக்காமல் பார்த்துக்கொள்ள வேண்டியதன் அவசியத்தையும் இயக்குநர் மாணிக் ஜெய் அழகாக கூறியுள்ளார். இன்றைய சூழலில் ஒரு சில பெண்கள் போதை பொருளுக்கு அடிமையாகின்றனர். ஆண்களும் பெண்களும் சமம் தான் என்றாலும் கூட, சிலர் இப்படி மது அருந்துவது, போதைப்பொருள் பயன்படுத்துவது என ஆண்களுக்கு இணையாக போட்டி போட ஆரம்பித்து விட்டார்கள், அப்படி போட்டி போடும் இரு தரப்பினருக்குமே மனம் பற்றிய புரிதல் இல்லாதது தான் காரணம். மனம் என்பது நமது அடிமையாக இருக்கும் வரை நாம் ராஜாவாக இருக்கலாம். தூண்டிலை நோக்கி செல்லும் மீன், விளக்கை நோக்கி செல்லும் விட்டில் பூச்சி போன்ற ஓரறிவு கொண்ட உயிரினங்களுக்கே அந்த கதி என்றால் ஐம்புலன்களை கொண்ட மனிதர்கள் உஷாராக இருக்க வேண்டும்” இன்று கூறினார்.

நடிகர் தாரை கிருஷ்ணன் பேசும்போது,

“மாணிக் ஜெய்யின் பரமு படத்தில் நடித்திருந்தேன். இந்த படத்தில் வாய்ப்பு இருக்கிறதா என்று கேட்டபோது, அடுத்த படத்தில் தருகிறேன் இதில் கொஞ்சம் கஷ்டமான கதாபாத்திரம் தான் இருக்கிறது என்றார். இருந்தாலும் படப்பிடிப்புக்கு வாருங்கள் பார்க்கலாம் என்றும் கூறினார். ஆனால் படப்பிடிப்பிற்கு சென்ற முதல் நாளே என்னை ஜட்டியுடன் நிற்க வைத்து விட்டார். இந்த படத்தில் நடிக்க வாய்ப்பு கொடுத்ததற்கு நன்றி”
என கூறினார்.

நாயகி சௌமியா பேசும்போது,

“இயக்குநர் மாணிக் ஜெய்யை எனக்கு 13 வருடங்களாக தெரியும். கடின உழைப்பாளி. இப்போது உள்ள தலைமுறைகளிடம் என்ன இல்லை. வரப்போகும் தலைமுறையினருக்கு என்ன தேவை என்பது பற்றி எல்லாம் யோசித்துக் கொண்டே இருப்பார். எனக்குள் இருக்கும் திறமையை கண்டுபிடித்து எனக்கு நடிக்க வாய்ப்பு கொடுத்த இயக்குனருக்கு நன்றி. மனிதர்களுக்குல் மிருக குணம் ஒளிந்திருக்கும். அதை மறைத்து பெரும்பாலும் நடிப்பார்கள். சில நேரங்களில் அவர்களை அறியாமல் அது வெளிப்பட்டு விடும். அதை இயக்குநர் தெளிவாக புரிய வைத்திருக்கிறார். இந்த படத்தின் ஹீரோ நல்ல நடிப்பு திறமை உள்ளவர். ஆனால் அவருக்கு ஏன் வாய்ப்புகள் வரவில்லை என்பது ஆச்சரியமாக இருக்கிறது. ஆனால் பணம், செல்வாக்கு உள்ளவர்களாக இருந்தால் திறமை இல்லாதவர்களுக்கு கூட வாய்ப்பு கிடைக்கிறது” என்றார்.

கவி கார்கோ பேசும்போது,

இந்த படத்தில் நான்கு பாடல்களை எழுதி இருக்கிறேன். அதில் இடம்பெறும் இரண்டு பயண பாடல்களை என் வாழ்க்கை, என் தனிமை அந்த அனுபவங்களில் இருந்து எழுதியிருக்கிறேன்” என்று பேசினார்.

நாயகன் LNT எத்திஷ் பேசும்போது,

“இதில் என்னுடைய கதாபாத்திரம் எனக்குள் ஏதோ ஒன்றை கொடுத்தது. இந்த படம் நன்றாக வந்துள்ளது. சமீபத்தில் இங்கே வந்த சிவராஜ்குமார் சிறப்பாக தமிழில் பேசினார். நிச்சயமாக நான் அடுத்த படத்தில இதே போன்ற நிகழ்ச்சியில் பேசும்போது தமிழில் பேசுவேன்” என்று உறுதி அளித்தார்.

இயக்குநர் மீரா கதிரவன் பேசும்போது,

“தமிழ் சினிமாவில் எப்போதுமே திறமையானவர்களுக்கு இடம் உண்டு. அது கொஞ்சம் தாமதமாகும். அதற்காக வருத்தப்பட வேண்டாம். அதற்கு இயக்குனர்கள் ஆர்வி உதயகுமார், பேரரசு போல நிறைய பேர் உதாரணமாக இருக்கிறார்கள்” என்று கூறினார்.

இயக்குநர் பேரரசு பேசும்போது,

“படத்தின் ஹீரோவுக்கு கன்னடத்தில் பேசுவதா, தமிழில் பேசுவதா, கன்னடம் பேசினால் தப்பாக போய்விடுமா என கொஞ்சம் குழப்பம் இருந்ததை பார்க்க முடிந்தது. தமிழ்நாட்டில் நீங்கள் எதை வந்து பேசினாலும் நாங்கள் ஏற்றுக் கொள்வோம். எங்களுக்கு மொழி ஒரு பிரச்சனை இல்லை. திறமையை தான் பார்ப்போம்.. ரஜினிகாந்தை பிடித்து போனால் சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் பட்டம் கொடுத்து கொண்டாடுவோம். தன்னடத்து பைங்கிளி என சரோஜாதேவியை கொண்டாடுவோம். ஆனால் இங்கிருந்து ஒரு தமிழ் நடிகையை அனுப்புகிறோம், அங்கே யாராவது தமிழ் பைங்கிளி என்று கூறுவார்களா ?

உலகத்தின் முதல் மொழி தமிழ் தான். அதிலிருந்து தான் தெலுங்கு போனது. மலையாளம் உருவானது. இதிலிருந்து தான் கன்னடம் உருவானது என்று சொல்லிக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்கள். இதை நாங்கள் நம்புகிறோம். கன்னடம் வேறு, தமிழ் வேறு என்றால் ஓகே. நாங்கள் எந்த விவாதமும் பண்ண மாட்டோம். தமிழ் மண்ணில் மொழிக்கும் கலைக்கும் சம்பந்தமில்லை. ஒரு டிரைலரிலேயே த்ரில்லரை கொண்டு வருவது பெரிய விஷயம். ஆனால் அதை பார்க்கும்போது ஒரு குழப்பத்தையும் உருவாக்கியது. காரணம் இங்கே 90 சதவீதம் பேர் மிருகமாகத்தான் இருக்கிறோம். அன்று சாத்தான்குளம், இன்று திருப்புவனம்.. விசாரணை எதுவும் இல்லாமல் ஒரு ஆளை அடித்து கொன்று உள்ளார்கள். அவர்கள் எப்படி மனிதர்களாக இருக்க முடியும் ? அவர்கள் மிருகங்கள்தான். நாட்டில் பெரும்பாலானவர்களிடம் மிருகத்தன்மை தான் அதிகமாக இருக்கிறது. மனித தன்மை குறைந்துவிட்டது.

இன்று போதைப் போல் கலாச்சாரம் அதிகமாகி விட்டது சினிமாக்காரர்கள் கொஞ்சம் உஷாராக இருக்க வேண்டும். நாட்டில் யாராவது தண்ணி அடித்து விட்டு விழுந்து கிடந்தால் அது சாதாரண விஷயம். ஒரு சினிமாக்காரர் அப்படி இருந்தால் அங்கு ஒரு தேசிய பிரச்சினையாக மாறிவிடும். நடிகர் ஸ்ரீகாந்த் போதை பொருள் பயன்படுத்தியதாக கைதாகி இருக்கிறார். அந்த பழக்கத்தில் இருந்தது தவறுதான். கைதானதும் சரியான விஷயம் தான். ஆனால் அண்ணா பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் ஒரு பெண்ணை வன்கொடுமை செய்த நபரின் முகத்தை யாருக்காவது காட்டினார்களா ? திருப்புவனம் காவல் நிலைய சம்பவத்தில் ஈடுபட்ட அந்த குற்றவாளி காவலர்களின் முகத்தை எங்கேயாவது காட்டி இருக்கிறார்களா ? யாருக்காவது ஞாபகம் இருக்கிறதா ? ஆனால் ஒரு நடிகரை தீவிரவாதியை போல சித்தரிப்பது தான் ஆச்சரியமாக இருக்கிறது. கோடிக்கணக்கில் போதை பொருளை விற்றவன் புகைப்படம் கூட இப்படி வந்ததில்லை. அதனால் சினிமாக்காரர்கள் இப்படி நாம் ஒரு தவறு செய்தால் நம்மை ஒரு தேசத்துரோகிகள் போல இந்த உலகத்தில் காட்டி விடுவார்கள் என்பதை உணர்ந்து உஷாராக இருக்க வேண்டும். ஆனால் தேசத்துரோகம் பண்ணியவர்களை அப்படி காட்ட மாட்டார்கள்.

சமூக வலைதளங்களில் கூட வன்மத்தை கக்கும் நிறைய மிருகங்கள் இருக்கின்றார்கள். ஒரு படத்தை பார்க்காமலேயே விமர்சனம் செய்து அதை காலி செய்கிறார்கள். அப்படி ஒரு நோய் இப்போது வந்திருக்கிறது. இவர்களுக்கு பிடிக்கவில்லை என்றால் மக்களுக்கே பிடிக்கவில்லை என்பது போல, அந்த படத்தை காலி பண்ணி விடுகிறார்கள். தமிழ் சினிமாவில் இந்த கைமேரா படத்தின் கதையம்சம் போல வந்தது இல்லை. இயக்குநர் மாணிக் ஜெய்யின் இந்த புதிய முயற்சி வெற்றி அடைய வேண்டும்” என்று பேசினார்.

இயக்குநர் ஆர்.வி.உதயகுமார் பேசும்போது,

Director Ram said, “So far in my career, I have never seen such a commercial success. After screenings, people used to call my films ‘classics’ or ‘masterpieces’, but this is the first time I’ve heard the word ‘HIT’. I thank the press and media for that. I hosted nearly 40 screenings for Parandhu Po. Many distributors gave wrong judgments, especially about my pairing with Shiva. But when I wrote the script, I believed it would work theatrically — and with the arrival of Shiva and Grace Antony, it was elevated. Working with new producers means double responsibility. There were pressures, but today we’re relieved.

Pradeep and I started discussing this project during the lockdown. He’s the one who locked the genre, ’Happy and Feel-Good’. Otherwise, I’d still be creating multiple storylines.
He also influenced the climax change of Yezhu Malai Yezhu Kadal. Santhosh Dhayanidhi composed many songs and has been a pillar. Madan Karky treated the songs as narrative tools.

When I suggested Grace Antony, Pradeep sir initially asked if she would suit a mainstream film — and now she’s proven she can. Thanks to Anjali, Vijay Yesudas, and Aju Varghese sir for their amazing support.

Shiva sir took great effort in promoting the film and me as a director. I wanted Shiva’s character to reflect his real-life persona. Many are now appreciating our (Ram × Shiva) combo and saying it has opened doors for content-driven humour films. Romeo Pictures Raahul supported the release — from screen count to predicting demand. Director R. Kannan, a protégé of legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam, made his directorial debut with Jayam Kondaan and went on to deliver several commercial hits including Kanden Kadhalai, Ivan Thanthiran, Boomerang, and Kasethan Kadavulada.

Following that, his upcoming film Gandhari, starring Hansika Motwani in the lead role, is produced and directed by him and is scheduled for release this July.

R. Kannan is directing and producing the sequel to his successful 2017 film Ivan Thanthiran, under the title Ivan Thanthiran-2. The film is being produced by Masala Pix.

The original Ivan Thanthiran starred Gautham Karthik as Sakthi, with RJ Balaji playing his friend, and Shraddha Srinath in a key role. Set against the backdrop of a prestigious engineering college, the film exposed corruption involving a powerful minister and gained critical acclaim and audience attention alike.

Carrying forward the same energy, Ivan Thanthiran-2 is designed with a gripping screenplay and compelling narrative. The story revolves around a determined young man and the extreme measures he takes to complete his mission, a theme that resonates strongly with today’s youth.

Actor Saran, known for his stellar performances in Singam 3, Vada Chennai, and KGF, plays the male lead. Newcomer Sashank makes his debut in a key role as a college student.

Actress Sindhu Priya, who has starred in Indian 3, Iru Dhuruvam, and the upcoming Kaaliyan, plays the female lead. She is also currently playing a pivotal role in Jayam Ravi’s Karate Babu.

The film features Samuthirakani as the antagonist, with Thambi Ramaiah, Jagan, Redin Kingsley, and others performing pivotal roles.

Leading South Indian music composer S.S. Thaman, who is known for scoring back-to-back blockbusters for top Telugu heroes, is composing the music for this film. Cinematography is by P.G. Muthiah.

Pedro Pascal is all set to make his Marvel debut with The Fantastic Four: First Steps as Mister Fantastic/Reed Richards, the leader of the team. The movie, which is set to kick off the sixth phase of the MCU, will hit the Indian theatres on July 25 in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. 

During the global promotions for the film, Pedro Pascal shared an interesting anecdote. Speaking with Vanity Fair, Pedro said that he gave his 100% while committing to the 1960s accent but the crew kept on pulling him back. , “The theatre of that is something to step into. I don’t know if I did it well, they had to keep on pulling me back from a very mid-Atlantic, early 60s talk. They had a dialect coach who was going to help us with that kind of dialect.”

Pedro further added, “I took to it so well, they had to pull me aside…they were like, ‘Uh, talk more like yourself.’ I had a hard time doing that because I was so into the era, which for me, was something to step into, as it’s different from what we’ve seen before. What they’ve created is something we haven’t seen.”

Directed by Matt Shakman, the film also features Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, Ralph Ineson as Galactus, and Julia Garner as Silver Surfer.

I have been a part of this project from its time of preproduction scripting to the final output. Usually, after a film’s success, the team would get changed, but now, the same team has come up with their next film without any changes. It’s been a long time since we saw a proper commercial horror thriller like ‘Jenma Natchathiram’. I always desire Thaman’s success as our victory is mutual. Amoham Studios Vijay is new to cinema, but once he stepped into the industry, his involvement has been huge. Sanjay Manickam will definitely earn everyone’s appreciation for his musical score. When I asked about my call sheet, he said it is just for a couple of days. I wondered what they were going to shoot within such a short span of time. However, looking back at my career, almost all the best films like ‘Magalir Mattum’, ‘Mahanadhi’, ‘Sandakozhi’ and a few more, featured me in just two to three scenes, but still my character had a great impact. One thing that I would like to appreciate about director Mani is his conviction and clarity. It was more like working with director Hari, who would have an edited version in his mind. Mani Varman has that same expertise in clarity. Thaman is such a down-to-earth person, and more than astrological significance as his father-in-law said, it is his hard work and involvement that has gifted him a good stature now. ‘Jenma Natchathiram’ will be a phenomenal horror treat for the fans. There are lots of sub-categories in the horror genre, but according to me, a strong clarity in writing and then executing it on screen with precision will yield good results. There are films where the trailer has no connection to the movie, but I can clearly sense that ‘Jenma Natchathiram’ will be a proper horror film. Fans are going to get an enthralling treat. Creating horror films comes with great challenges, as vision alone is not enough. The old ‘Jenma Natchathiram’ was almost like a Tamil version of the original ‘Omen’, and now we have made this film as a spin off which serves as a prequel. Just like the climax of ‘Oru Nodi’ was shocking, even ‘Jenma Natchathiram’ will be more shocking and unpredictable. The entire team felt like family. It is a professional team without distractions. All of us are teetotallers. My humble thanks to the press and media for encouraging and appreciating my performance. I have groomed and attempted my best to deliver a more refined performance in this film. This will be a step ahead of ‘Oru Nodi’. My technical crew, especially cinematographer KG, had to endure a lot as he was diagnosed with typhoid. ’ஒரு நொடி’ படத்திற்கு கிடைத்த வரவேற்பை அடுத்து அதே அணியினர் ’ஜென்ம நட்சத்திரம்’ படத்திற்காக ஒன்றிணைந்துள்ளனர். ஹாரர் ஜானரில் உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ள இந்தப் படம் ‘ஓமன்’ படத்தின் தமிழ் வெர்ஷன். இந்தப் படத்தை மணிவர்மன் இயக்கியுள்ளார். அமோகம் ஸ்டுடியோஸ் மற்றும் வைட்லேம்ப் பிக்சர்ஸ் இணைந்து தயாரித்துள்ளனர். ரோமியோ பிக்சர்ஸ் ராகுல் வெளியிடும் இந்தப் படம் ஜூலை 18 ஆம் தேதி திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியாகிறது. இந்தப் படத்தின் இசை வெளியீட்டு விழா இன்று நடைபெற்றது.
