I have worked as editor for Vijay Antony sir movies, and for the first time, when I narrated the script of ‘Maargan’, I thought it would take time to get materialised. But I was surprised to see that the process got faster than I believed. Vijay Antony sir gave me a complete director’s team. I wrote the script of ‘Maargan’ in the Lockdown that was initiated by my friend, who is no more now. From my childhood, I was fascinated by the stories like Shakthimaan, and I wanted to create something like that. This film will have some mystic, fantasy elements, although the main genre is Thriller. The film has so many relevance of ‘Water’ with the script. So I started researching about the best water sources in Tamil Nadu, and it has impacted a lot in positive way for the film. Ajay never looked like a debut actor, and he performed an underwater sequence at 20ft, which isn’t an easy thing, even for the experienced actor. I was totally surprised with his work, and he got sick after a week for his laborious effort, which scared me. His dedication is so extraordinary. Samuthirakani sir has essayed a small role, but it will have a greater significance in this movie.
