Filmmaker Vinay Krishna, who shot to fame for his couple of critically acclaimed and commercially successful Kannada movies titled ‘Seizer’ and ‘Hunter’, is all set to embark on his directorial journey in the Tamil film industry through the film ‘Worker’.
The film is produced by M. Shobana Rani of PRIMUK PRESENTS, and features actor Jai in the lead role. Yogi Babu is appearing in a pivotal role. Nagi Needu alongside others will be seen performing prominent characters in this film. One of the most promising and leading actresses in the industry is playing the female lead role opposite Jai in this film.
The film, a Romantic Action Thriller by its genre, is crafted with an exceptionally brilliant screenplay, which will offer a never-before cinematic experience for the cinephiles. Marking the special occasion of World Labour Day, the makers have unveiled the film’s titled as ‘Worker’.
Director Vinay Krishna shedding lights on the film says, “Although the film has a love story as the backdrop, it has been interwoven with romance, action and thriller elements, which will offer a never-before experience. It is going to be an intriguing attraction of this film.”
While the film explores the love between the hero and heroine and the challenges their relationship faces within an action-thriller framework, it avoids the usual storytelling clichés. Viewers will be drawn into a narrative that constantly shifts, offering fresh surprises at every turn and holding their attention till the end.

வணக்கம். சிறிய வயதில் இருந்தே சினிமாவில் சாதிக்க வேண்டும் என்ற ஆர்வம் இருந்தது. ஆனால் அதற்கான சமூக சூழல்- குடும்ப சூழல் ஏற்றதாக இல்லை. அதிலும் பெண் என்பதால் இந்த சமூகம் விதித்த கட்டுப்பாட்டை மீறி இயங்க கூடிய அளவிற்கு எனக்கு ஆதரவு கிடைக்கவில்லை. திருமணத்திற்குப் பிறகு மூன்று பெண் பிள்ளைகள் இருந்ததால் …குடும்ப வாழ்க்கை அவர்களுக்கான நேரமாக இருந்தது. அதற்காக இந்த உலகம் முழுவதும் 75 க்கும் மேற்பட்ட நாடுகளுக்கு சுற்றுப்பயணம் செய்திருக்கிறேன். அவர்கள் அனைவரும் திருமணம் செய்து கொண்டு புகுந்த வீட்டிற்கு சென்ற பிறகு எனக்கு கிடைத்த பொன்னான ஓய்வு நேரத்தை.. என் லட்சியத்திற்காக முதலீடு செய்யத் தொடங்கினேன். அதனுடைய தொடர்ச்சி தான் ‘என் காதலே’ எனும் என் படைப்பின் பயணம்.
உங்களுக்கு சினிமா பின்னணி குறித்து ..?
என்னுடைய சகோதரர் ராமசந்திரன் 1979 ஆம் ஆண்டில் இரண்டு (ஆத்தோர ஆத்தா , மாதவனும் மலர்விழியும்) திரைப்படங்களை இயக்கினார். எங்களுடைய சகோதரரின் திரைப்படங்களின் மூலம் நடிகர் ரகுவரன் மற்றும் கோவை சரளா ஆகியோர் அறிமுகமானார்கள். என்னுடைய மகள் பூஜா பல்லவி- வி எஃப் எக்ஸ் துறையில் பணியாற்றி வருகிறார். ‘1917 ‘, ‘எக்ஸ் மேன்’ என 15க்கும் மேற்பட்ட ஹாலிவுட் திரைப்படங்களில் பணியாற்றி இருக்கிறார். இதில் ‘1917 :என்ற திரைப்படம் இரண்டு ஆஸ்கார் விருதுகளை வென்றிருக்கிறது.
என் காதலே..?
‘ என் காதலே’ என்பது ஆழமான கருத்தினை பின்னணியாக கொண்டது. இந்த திரைப்படம் எழுத்தாளர்களுக்கும், கவிஞர்களுக்கும் நான் சொல்ல வந்த கருத்து ஏற்புடையதாக இருக்கும். என் காதல் என்பதற்கும்… என் காதலே என்பதற்கும் வித்தியாசம் இருக்கிறது. இதனை புரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்றால் ..இந்தப் படத்தை ஒரு முறை நீங்கள் திரையரங்கத்திற்கு வருகை தந்து பார்க்க வேண்டும். காதலர்கள் அனைவரும் தங்கள் காதலை வாழ வைக்க வேண்டும் என்று தான் நினைப்பார்கள். அதனை இந்தப் படத்தில் உரத்து பேசியிருக்கிறேன். காதல் என்றால் என்ன? காதல் தரும் உறவு என்ன மாதிரியானது? காதலிக்கும் போதும் ‘கடமை கண்ணியம் கட்டுப்பாடு’ என்ற மூன்று விசயங்கள் ஏன் அவசியம் என்பதையும் விவரித்து இருக்கிறேன்.
தாய் மாமன் உறவின் உன்னதம் குறித்தும் , அவரின் காதல் உணர்வு குறித்தும் நுட்பமாக காட்சிப்படுத்தி இருக்கிறேன். குறிப்பாக சொல்ல வேண்டுமென்றால் ஒரு பெண் கிளப்புக்கு சென்றால் எப்படி செல்ல வேண்டும் என்பதையும், கோவிலுக்கு சென்றால் எப்படி செல்ல வேண்டும் என்பதையும் சொல்லி இருக்கிறேன்.
திரைத்துறையில் கற்றதும் பெற்றதும்?
மனிதர்களாகப் பிறந்த அனைவருக்கும் பணம் என்பது தேவைதான். இல்லை என்று மறுக்கவில்லை. ஆனால் அதற்காக பணம்தான் பிரதானம். அதற்காக வாழ்க்கையை எப்படி வேண்டுமானாலும் வாழலாம் என வாழ்வதுதான் தவறானது. பணத்திற்காக தவறான பாதையிலும் பயணிக்க எத்தனிக்கும் மனிதர்கள் அழிய வேண்டும். நல்லவர்கள் இந்த பூவுலகில் வாழ வேண்டும் என்ற ஆதங்கம் எனக்கு அதிகமாக இருக்கிறது.
இந்த சினிமாவிற்கு நான் வருவதற்கு மிக முக்கியமான காரணம் என் ஆழ் மனதை ஆக்கிரமித்துள்ள உணர்வுகளே. ஒவ்வொருவரும் தங்களுக்கான வாழ்க்கையை அசலாக வாழ வேண்டும்.
இதுவே என்னை சினிமாவை நோக்கி பயணிக்க வைத்த உந்துவிசை என்றும் சொல்லலாம். சமூகத்திற்கு நல்ல விசயங்களை பகிர்ந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும். குறைந்த பட்சம் ஒரு நாளைக்கு ஐந்து நிமிடமாவது உண்மையைப் பேச வேண்டும். உண்மையை மட்டுமே பேச வேண்டும் என்ற நிலை உருவானால்… இந்த சமூகம் நிச்சயமாக மேம்படும்.
நான் பள்ளியில் படித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் போது பாடத்தை நடத்தும் ஆசிரியர்கள் தவறு செய்தாலும் அது தவறு என்று சுட்டிக் காட்டும் துணிச்சலை பெற்றிருந்தேன்.
இதன் காரணமாகத்தான் சினிமாவில் யாரிடமும் உதவியாளராக பணியாற்றாமல் நேரடியாக இந்த வயதில் படத்தை இயக்கியிருக்கிறேன். சமூகத்தின் மீதுள்ள கட்டற்ற ஈடுபாடு தான் இதன் அழுத்தமான பின்னணி.
சினிமாவின் நுழைந்ததும் இங்கு பொய்யை மட்டும் தான் பேச வேண்டும் என்ற ஒரு மாயையை- மாயத் தோற்றத்தை உருவாக்கி வைத்திருக்கிறார்கள். இதனால் எனக்கு தொடக்கத்தில் தொடர் தோல்விகள் தான் கிடைத்தது. இருந்தாலும் இதனை சவாலாக எடுத்துக் கொண்டு உண்மையை மட்டுமே பேசி இப்படத்தை நிறைவு செய்து இருக்கிறேன்.

இந்தப் படத்தின் மூலம் பணம் சம்பாதிக்க வேண்டும் என்பது என் நோக்கம் அல்ல. இந்த சமுதாயத்திற்கு.. சமுதாய நல்லிணக்கத்திற்கு… சமூக மேம்பாட்டிற்கு …என்னாலான தரமான ஒரு படைப்பையாவது வழங்க வேண்டும் என்ற உயர்ந்த லட்சியத்தில் தான் இப்படத்தை உருவாக்கி இருக்கிறேன்.
இந்த திரைப்படத்தை திரையரங்கத்தில் பார்க்கும் மூன்று மணி நேரமாவது நல்ல விசயங்களை மக்கள் கேட்க வேண்டும்… பார்க்க வேண்டும் … என்பதற்காகவும் இப்படத்தை இயக்கி இருக்கிறேன்.
தற்போதைய திரைப்படங்கள் அனைத்தும் வன்முறையை தூக்கிப் பிடிக்கும் படங்களாக தான் இருக்கிறது. இதனால் இளைய தலைமுறையினர் தங்களின் வாழ்க்கையை வன்முறையான பாதையில் பயணிக்க வேண்டும் என நினைத்துக் கொள்கிறார்கள்.
இயக்குநராக சந்தித்த சவால்கள்?
‘என் காதலே’ படத்தின் பணிகளை தொடங்கும் தருணத்திலிருந்து பல சவால்களை எதிர்கொள்ள தொடங்கினேன். கொஞ்ச நாட்களிலேயே லண்டனில் இருந்து இங்கு வந்து ஏன் சினிமாவை எடுக்க தொடங்கினோம்? என மனதளவில் வருத்தப்படுவதற்கான சம்பவங்கள் தொடர்ந்து நடந்தது. இங்கு யாரும் கலைக்காக உண்மையாக பணியாற்றவில்லை. எல்லோரும் பொய்களை சொல்லிக் கொண்டும்… பணத்தை பறித்துக் கொள்வதற்காகவும் தான் பேசுகிறார்கள். தவறானவர்கள்.. பொய்யர்கள்… என்று விமர்சிக்க தொடங்கினால்.. உடன் இருப்பவர்கள் எதிர்மறையாக யாரையும் குறை சொல்லாதீர்கள். இது சினிமா. அனைவருடைய ஆதரவும் தேவை என யோசனை சொல்கிறார்கள்.
படப்பிடிப்பு நடைபெற்ற தருணங்களில் என்னை கை தூக்கி விட்டவர்களை விட கீழே தள்ளி விட்டவர்கள் தான் அதிகம். இருந்தாலும் இதையெல்லாம் கடந்து செல்லும் மேகங்கள் என்ற அளவில் மனதில் துணிவையும், உறுதியையும் கொண்டு படத்தினை நிறைவு செய்து இருக்கிறேன். உலக நாடுகளில் பயணம் மேற்கண்ட போது எனக்கு கிடைத்த புதிய மனிதர்கள் -அவர்களுடனான கசப்பான மற்றும் விந்தையான அனுபவங்கள் -அவற்றின் மூலமாக கற்றுக்கொண்ட விசயங்கள் – இதனை மனதில் வைத்து தான் இந்த சவாலில் வெற்றி பெற்றிருக்கிறேன்.
நடிகர்களை எப்படி தேர்வு செய்தீர்கள்?
லிங்கேஷ் – லியா – திவ்யா என ஒவ்வொரு நடிகரையும் கதாபாத்திரத்திற்கு பொருத்தமானவர்களாக இருந்ததால் மட்டுமே தேர்வு செய்தேன். இதில் திவ்யா மலையாள பெண். இந்தப் படத்தில் தான் அறிமுகமாகிறார். மீனவ சமுதாயத்தில் உள்ள பெண் கதாபாத்திரம் அது. நடிகர்கள் அனைவரும் படப்பிடிப்பு தளத்தில் தங்களின் முழுமையான ஒத்துழைப்பை வழங்கினார்கள்.

Md Asif, who made his Tamil film debut through Thalapathy Vijay’s blockbuster Thuppakki, is now impressing audiences with key roles in films alongside leading Tamil stars. He recently acted in an important role in Suriya’s latest release Retro.
Originally from Mumbai, Md Asif has always had a strong passion for acting. His first opportunity came through Thuppakki, a grand film directed by A.R. Murugadoss and starring Thalapathy Vijay. In the film, Ashif played a significant role alongside the villain, marking his entry into Tamil cinema. His performance opened doors to several other opportunities. He later played a customs officer in Vettaikaaran, and now shares screen space with Suriya in Retro.
Md Asif will also be seen in a crucial role in the upcoming film Dhruva Natchathiram, starring Chiyaan Vikram.
Speaking about acting with Tamil cinema’s top stars—Thalapathy Vijay, Chiyaan Vikram, and Suriya—Md Asif shared:

Nani: The Lone Flame in a Shadowy World
If HIT 3 thrives anywhere, it’s in the power-packed presence of Nani. As Arjun, he owns every frame, exuding intensity, restraint, and just the right amount of cinematic cool. He navigates action sequences and emotional moments with equal finesse, singlehandedly elevating the film’s energy.
However, this intense focus on Nani comes at the expense of supporting characters. Srinidhi Shetty, though present, is relegated to a functional “heroine” role with minimal impact. The rest of the cast is barely fleshed out, turning this into a one-man show — for better or worse.
A Weak Antagonist in an Otherwise Sharp Setup
While the protagonist is strong, the antagonist, Alpha (Prateik Babbar), fails to rise to the occasion. As the mastermind behind the cult, his motivations remain vague and unconvincing. His cult promises “freedom” but never truly explains its philosophy or menace. He feels less like a true threat and more like a placeholder villain, undercutting the suspense and diminishing the stakes.
When your hero is never truly challenged, the thrill of the chase — so essential in a mystery-thriller — loses impact.
Top-Notch Craftsmanship on the Technical Front
The visual presentation of HIT 3 is one of its major strengths. Sanu John Varghese’s cinematography brings a moody, noir-like texture to the film, while Mickey J. Meyer’s background score drives the tension effectively. Action choreography is crisp, and editing keeps the film pacy. The production values reflect a slick, big-screen experience.
Conclusion: Style Over Substance
HIT: The Third Case has the look, sound, and star power of a gripping crime thriller. But beneath its glossy exterior lies a story that plays it safe. It’s a technically sound, Nani-centric vehicle that misses the opportunity to push boundaries or deliver a villain worth fearing. While watchable and engaging in parts, it ultimately leaves little to linger in the mind once the credits roll.
