Producer Jaivarda of Beyond Pictures has embarked on his journey in the Tamil film industry with the motive of spearheading with entertainers meant for universal audiences. With a wide array of projects in the pipeline, which will have their official announcements soon, the production house had recently launched its “Production No.1” starring GV Prakash Kumar in the lead role, directed by Maria Elanchezian. Now they have officially announced the film’s title as ‘Happy Raj’.

Director Maria Elanchezian shares his vision behind the title stating, “The title Happy Raj emerges from a simple yet profound ambition, to create a high-spirited celebration of joy in cinema. We have witnessed audiences erupt with energy for adrenaline-filled, mass entertainers. But in today’s world, one overwhelmed by social media, unfiltered negativity, and the tragic rise of real-life despair, I felt an earnest need to craft a film that stands as an antidote to the gloom.

My protagonist is christened ‘Happy’ for a reason. His very name serves as a constant reminder of the emotion that binds this narrative. In fact, you may hear the word ‘Happy’ echoed throughout the film more than a hundred times, not as mere repetition, but as a rhythmic mantra of optimism. At its heart, this is a film built on the foundations of happiness, pure, unadulterated happiness, while still embracing life’s full spectrum of emotions. Happy Raj aims to be a luminous, uplifting experience; a tailor-made offering for audiences who crave warmth, smiles, and the comforting assurance that happiness still holds power in our lives. This is a film for those who walk into a cinema seeking not just entertainment, but inner sunshine.”

While GV Prakash Kumar and Sri Gouri Priya are playing the lead characters, the evergreen handsome actor Abbas is making his comeback in the Tamil film industry after a long sabbatical gap with this film. The others in the star-cat include George Mariyam, Prarthna, Adhirchi Arun, Madurai Muthu, Sofa Boy Rasool and many others, performing pivotal roles.

The film is written an directed by Maria Elanchezian and is co-produced by Jaikanth Suresh. Madhan Christopher is the cinematographer and Justin Prabhakaran is the music composer. RK Selva is handling editing works, and Kumar Gangappa is overseeing art works. Praveen Raja is taking care of costume designing. Rekha is handling the Public Relations works.

என் நாயகனுக்கு ‘ஹேப்பி’ என்று பெயர் வைக்கப்பட்டதற்குக் காரணம் இருக்கிறது. அந்த பெயர் கதையின் மைய உணர்வை எப்போதும் நினைவூட்டும் ஒரு குறியீடு ஆகும். முழுக் கதையிலும் ‘ஹேப்பி’ என்ற வார்த்தை நூற்றுக்கும் மேற்பட்ட முறை ஒலிக்கும்; அது வெறும் சொல் அல்ல, நம்பிக்கையூட்டும் ஒரு தாள லயம் சேர்ந்த மந்திரம் போன்றது.

The second look of Chinna Chinna Aasai, directed by Varsha Vasudev with Madhubala and Indrans in the lead roles, has been released. The second-look poster was unveiled through actress Manju Warrier’s official social media pages. The film is produced by Abhijith Babuji under the banner of Babuji Productions. After the widely noticed short film Ente Narayanikku, Varsha Vasudev is once again at the helm, and this film marks Madhubala’s return to Malayalam cinema in a strong central character after a break.

Alongside Madhubala, the makers expect Indrans—known for his unique acting moments—to once again win a place in the audience’s hearts. Director Varsha Vasudev herself has penned the film’s script.

The film is set against the backdrop of a heartfelt musical score composed by Govind Vasantha. The first-look poster was released earlier by acclaimed Tamil filmmaker Mani Ratnam. Shot entirely in Varanasi, the film is scheduled to hit theatres in early 2026.

Zhagaram Studios presents Suriya 47: Filming Commences with Pooja Ceremony

Chennai, December 7, 2025: Zhagaram Studios officially launched the shoot of Suriya 47 this morning in Chennai with a traditional pooja ceremony, marking the beginning of an exciting new collaboration between actor Suriya and director Jithu Madhavan. The event was attended by the film’s cast, crew, and several respected well-wishers from the industry.

The project has been one of the most anticipated announcements of the year, with fans and audiences showing immense curiosity and excitement ever since the collaboration between Suriya and Jithu Madhavan first came into discussion. The pooja ceremony brought the entire team together, including Nazriya Nazim, Naslen, Actor Anandraj, Music Director Sushin Shyam, and other key members of the cast and crew.

The occasion was also graced by distinguished guests including, producer of the film Mrs. Jyotika, Actor Karthi, Rajsekar Pandian (2D Entertainment), S.R. Prakash and S.R. Prabhu (Dream Warrior Pictures), along with many others who extended their wishes for the film’s success.

Following the pooja, the production team commenced filming immediately, marking the beginning of the first schedule.

Director Jithu Madhavan shared his excitement: “New industry, New beginning, that too with the star like Suriya, adds more excitement. Trying to do something new, I hope the audience accepts and enjoys the freshness that we are trying to deliver.”

எல்லோருக்கும் வணக்கம்.  இந்தப்படம் மிகவும் சிரமப்பட்டு எடுத்த படம். சில படங்கள் ஈஸியாக கதை சொல்லிவிடலாம் ஆனால் இது கதை சொல்லவே கஷ்டப்பட வேண்டும். நலன் அதை அழகாக எடுத்துள்ளார். அவர் முதல் இரண்டு படங்களில் விநியோகத்தில் இணைந்திருந்தோம். இப்போது மூன்றாவது படத்தைத் தயாரித்திருக்கிறோம். கார்த்தி சார் மெய்யழகன் கதாபாத்திரத்தைச் செய்வது கடினம் எனப் பலர் சொன்னார்கள் ஆனால் அதைச் சிறப்பாகச் செய்திருந்தார். அதே போல் இந்தப்படத்திலும் அட்டகாசமாகச் செய்துள்ளார். எல்லோருமே மிகக் கடினமான உழைப்பைத் தந்துள்ளனர். கார்த்தி ரசிகர்களுக்கும் அவர்கள் ரசிக்கும் படமாக இருக்கும். வாத்தியார் ஆசி இப்படத்திற்கு உள்ளது, அவரது ஆசியில் இப்படம் வெற்றிப்படமாக அமையுமென நம்புகிறேன் நன்றி.

எல்லோருக்கும் வணக்கம். தமிழில் பேச முயற்சிக்கிறேன். இந்தப்படத்தில் தமிழ் மக்களுக்கு அறிமுகமாவது மகிழ்ச்சி. நலன் சாருக்கும், ஞானவேல் சாருக்கும் நன்றி. இந்தப்படத்தில் எனக்கு நிறைய அனுபவம் கிடைத்தது. இந்தப்படத்தில் நடிக்கும் போது டபுள் ஷிப்ட்டில்  நடித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தேன், ஒரு நாள் செட்டில் தூங்கி விட்டேன் ஆனால் எனக்காகச் சத்தம் போடாமல் லைட் செய்தார்கள் அதற்காக அனைவருக்கும்  நன்றி. இப்படத்தில் உடன் உழைத்த அனைவருக்கும் நன்றி. நலன் சார் உடன் வேலை பார்த்தது மிகப்பெரிய மகிழ்ச்சி அவரிடம் நிறையக் கற்றுக்கொண்டேன். நான் நடிக்கும்போது சின்ன சின்ன விசயங்களையும் கவனித்துப் பாராட்டினார். சத்யராஜ் சார் ரசிகை நான் ஆனால் அவருடன் எனக்குக் காட்சிகள் இல்லை. அது வருத்தம் தான். என் குடும்பத்தில் பலர்  சிவக்குமார் சார் ரசிகர்கள் தான். எனக்குத் தமிழ் ரசிகர்கள் தரும் அன்பு பெரிய மகிழ்ச்சி தருகிறது. கார்த்தி சார் மிகப்பெரிய ரசிகை நான், அவரை ஷீட்டிங்கில் தொந்தரவு செய்து கொண்டே இருந்தேன். அவருடன் நடிக்கும் என் கனவு நிறைவேறியது மகிழ்ச்சி. அனைவருக்கும் நன்றி.

இயக்குநர் நலன் குமாரசாமி பேசியதாவது.., 

9 வருடம் கழித்து படம் எடுக்கிறார் என பில்டப் போஸ்ட் எல்லாம் பார்த்தேன். ஆனால் நியாயமாய் நீங்கள் பயப்பட வேண்டும். இவ்வளவு வருடம் படமெடுக்காமல் படமெடுக்க வருகிறானே என யோசிக்க வேண்டும். சூது கவ்வும் படமெடுத்த போது, எஸ் ஆர் பிரபு ரொம்ப வருத்தப்பட்டார், சிவக்குமார் ஐயாவும் ரொம்பவும் வருத்தப்பட்டார். இப்படி தலைப்பு வைத்துப் படமெடுக்கலாமா? எனக் கேட்டார்கள், அது வெறும் கிண்டல் தான் என்றேன், இருந்தாலும் அப்போது ஒரு வாக்குறுதி தந்தோம். தர்மம் வெல்லும் என ஒரு படமெடுப்போம் என சொன்னேன். அது தான் இந்தப்படம். இந்தப்படம் எடுக்க வாய்ப்பு தந்த புரட்சித் தலைவர் எம் ஜி ஆருக்கு கோடான கோடி நன்றி. ஞானவேல் ராஜா, கார்த்தி இருவருக்கும் நன்றி. கார்த்தி மிக அழகாக கதாப்பாத்திரத்தில் பொருந்திப்போய்விட்டார். அத்தனை சிறப்பாகச் செய்துள்ளார். எம் ஜி ஆருக்கு ஒரு அர்ப்பணிப்பு தான் இந்தப்படம். அனைவருக்கும் பிடிக்கும் நன்றி.

Drishyam stands among the most influential and celebrated cinematic franchises in Indian cinema. With its legacy of record-breaking box office milestones, extraordinary fan engagement, and multiple acclaimed remakes — including the Hindi adaptations produced by Panorama Studios, with Drishyam 2 directed by Abhishek Pathak — the franchise remains one of the most compelling and widely discussed s of contemporary storytelling.
