He and his henchmen throw them out, but things take a drastic turn when Karunakaran eerily predicts Rajendran’s death within thirty minutes.

What follows is a high-paced action sequence where two mysterious, helmeted youths kill Mottai Rajendran and others, leaving Karunakaran’s group as the only witnesses. Unfortunately, the police suspect them of the crime, putting them in a desperate race to prove their innocence. As the movie unfolds, the second half provides the answers—who were the real killers? ‘கனிமொழி’ படத்தில் மூலம் நான் இழந்தது என்னுடைய பணம். அதற்கு யாரையும் நான் குறை சொல்ல தயார் இல்லை. அது என் தவறு. ஆனால் இந்த முறை ஓடிடி தளத்திலிருந்து பணம் பெற்று இந்த புராஜெக்டை தொடங்கினேன். டைரக்சன் எனக்கு பிடிக்கும். அப்படி ஒரு படம் எடுக்கும்போது எனக்கும் அது போன்று ஒரு நல்ல பெயர் கிடைக்கும், கவர்ச்சி நடிகை என்கிற என்னுடைய இமேஜை மாற்றும் என சிறுபிள்ளைத்தனமான ஒரு ஆசை இருந்தது. அதனால் ஒரு இயக்குநர் ஆன பின்னர் கூட என்னுடைய சொந்த கதையைத்தான் படமாக எடுக்க முடிவு செய்தேன்.

நான் ஆரம்பத்தில் வெளியிட்ட இந்த படத்தின் டீசர் கூட நான் உண்மையைத்தான் சொல்லப் போகிறேன் என்பதை உணர்த்துவதற்காக தான். நெட்பிளிக்ஸ் உடன் ஒப்பிடும்போது ஷார்ட்பிளிக்ஸ் சிறிய OTT தளம் தான் என்றாலும் அவர்கள் கொடுத்த ஆத்மார்த்த ஆதரவுக்கு வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் நன்றி கடன் பட்டிருக்கிறேன். ஆனால் ஒவ்வொரு கட்டத்திலும் இதை செய்யாதே, அதை செய்யாதே என்று எதிர்ப்பு வரும் போது நான் என்னதான் செய்வது ? நான் என்ன அப்படி தப்பான ஆளா என்கிற விரக்தி தான் ஏற்பட்டது.

ஆனால் யாரும் நேரடியாக தாக்குதல் நடத்தாததால் பழகிய நபர்களிடம் கூட ஒரு சந்தேகம் கண்ணோட்டம் தேவையில்லாமல் உருவாகிறது. மற்றவர்களுக்காவது குடும்பம், குழந்தைகள் என இருக்கின்றன. நான் தனி ஆளாக போராடிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறேன். சினிமாவில் ஒன்றும் இல்லாத ஆளாக உள்ளே நுழைந்து வளர்ந்து இன்று ஒரு படத்தின் இயக்குநராக மாறி இருக்கிறேன். இதுவரை இந்த வெப் சீரிஸுக்காக 14 நாட்கள் படப்பிடிப்பு நடத்தி இருக்கிறேன். முதல் பத்து நாட்கள் நடத்தி முடித்துவிட்டு மீதி நான்கு நாட்கள் படப்பிடிப்பை நடத்த ஆறு மாதம் பிச்சை எடுத்தேன்.

வெப் சீரிஸ் பண்ணும் போது பெப்சியின் உதவியை நாட முடியாது. ஆனால் நம் ஆட்கள் தானே என்று நம்பினேன்.. ஒவ்வொருவரையும் கெஞ்சினேன்.. கிட்டத்தட்ட பத்துக்கும் மேற்பட்ட பஞ்சாயத்துகள் வந்தது. அதன் பிறகு நிஜமாகவே உங்களை ஏமாற்றி இருக்கிறார்கள் என உதவி செய்ய வந்தவர்கள் சொன்னபோது அப்பாடா நமக்கு ஆதரவு கிடைக்கப் போகிறது என நம்பினேன். அதன் பிறகு மீண்டும் இழுத்தடித்தார்கள் ஆனால் கடைசியில் நீ ஏமாந்தது உண்மை,, அவர் உன்னை ஏமாற்றியது உண்மை,, இனி நீ படப்பிடிப்புக்கு போக முடியாது,, அவரால் உனக்கு பணம் தர முடியாது,, யாருக்கெல்லாம் பாக்கி இருக்கிறதோ நீ தான் அதை திருப்பிக் கொடுக்க வேண்டும் என்று கூறினார்கள், இதை சொல்லியே என்னை ஐந்து மாதம் வீட்டில் உட்கார வைத்தார்கள்,

என்னை சுற்றி இருப்பவர்கள் கூட இந்த தாக்குதலை சமாளிக்க முடியாமல் ஒவ்வொருவராக விலகி சென்றார்கள், ஒரு கட்டத்தில் என் வீட்டில் இந்த கொள்ளை முயற்சி நடந்த பிறகு தான் துணிச்சலை வரவழைத்துக் கொண்டு தயாரிப்பாளர் சங்கத்தை அணுக, நீங்கள் ஷூட்டிங் நடத்துங்கள் என ஆதரவு குரல் கொடுத்தார்கள்.

மோசமான அந்த மேனேஜரை சப்போர்ட் பண்ணுவதற்காக அவருக்கும் மேலிருப்பவர் வருகிறார்.. அவரும் இரண்டு முறை எனக்கு ஆதரவாக பேசுவது போல பேசினார். அதன் பிறகு படப்பிடிப்பு நடந்த போது தேவையான பணம் கொடுத்து ஏற்பாடு செய்யச் சொன்னேன். உரிய வவுச்சர்களுடன் கணக்கு வந்தது. அதை எல்லாம் உண்மை என்று நம்பினேன். ஆனால் ஐந்தாவது நாள் ஒரு தொழிலாளி என்னிடம் வந்து நான்கு நாட்களாக சம்பளம் வரவில்லை இன்று கிடைக்குமா என்று கேட்டபோதுதான் மேனேஜர் சுரேஷ் நான் பணக்கஷ்டத்தில் இருப்பதாக கூறி அவர்களை நம்ப வைத்து அவர்களிடம் வவுச்சரில் கையெழுத்து வாங்கி இருக்கிறார் என்பதே தெரிய வந்தது.

ஆனால் அந்த தவறையும் செய்துவிட்டு மீண்டும் என்னிடம் தில் ஆக வந்து வழக்கம் போல பணம் கேட்கிறார். அதன் பிறகு நான் உங்களை ஏமாற்றினேன் என கைப்பட எழுதியும் தந்தார். ஆனாலும் என்னால் எதுவும் பண்ண முடியவில்லை. சரி இவற்றில் இருந்து ஒதுங்கி இருந்தால் பிரச்சனை இல்லை என நினைத்தால் அப்போதும் பிரச்சினை தொடர்ந்தது. அதனால் கொஞ்சம் துணிச்சலாக மீண்டும் எழுந்து வேலைகளை ஓரளவுக்கு முடித்தேன். கொஞ்சம் அமைதியாக இருந்தார்கள்.

இப்போது இதை ஏன் சொல்கிறேன் என்றால் 2015ல் ஒரு பிரச்சனை வந்து ஓரளவு சரியானது. ஆனால் இந்த 2024 வரை எதுவும் பேசாமல் வாயை மூடி அமர்ந்தது தான் தவறு என இப்போது நினைக்கிறேன். தயவுசெய்து என்னை வாயைத் திறந்து எதுவும் பேச வைத்து விடாதீர்கள். என்னை விட்டு விடுங்கள்.. 200 ரூபாய் இருக்கும்போது கூட நான் பிச்சை எடுக்கவில்லை.. ஆனால் இயக்குநரான பிறகு பிச்சை எடுத்தேன்.. இயக்குநராக வேண்டும் என்றால் பிச்சை எடுக்கணுமா ?

இந்த படத்தில் டீனேஜில் இருந்து 30 வயது வரையிலான எனது கதாபாத்திரங்கள் நான்கு பருவங்களாக இடம் பெற்று இருக்கும். ஒவ்வொன்றிற்கும் ஒரு ஜம்ப் இருக்கும். சில விஷயங்களை சொல்லாமல் சென்றிருப்போம். ஆனால் கடைசியில் அதற்கு ஒரு விடை சொல்லி இருப்போம். இந்த நான்கு பருவங்களிலும் ஒவ்வொரு கேள்வி இருக்கும். இதில் ஏதாவது ஒரு கேள்வியில் இருந்து அடுத்த பாகம் தொடங்கும். மொத்தம் எட்டு எபிசோடுகள் இடம் பெறுகின்றன. ஒவ்வொன்றும் 25 முதல் 30 நிமிடம் வரை இருக்கும்.

நானும் ஒருவரை காதலித்தேன். அது யார் என்று இப்போது சொல்ல மாட்டேன்.. எல்லாருக்கும் தெரிந்த ஆள் தான். ஆனால் யாருக்கும் தெரியாதவர்.. என்னுடைய 2010-15 காலகட்டத்திய வாழ்க்கை தான் இந்த முதல் சீசனில் இடம் பெறுகிறது. ஆனால் இந்த வெப் சீரிஸில் என்னுடைய தந்தையின் கதாபாத்திரத்திரம் மற்றும் இவரது கதாபாத்திரத்தின் சாயல் தெரியும் விதமாக நடிகர்களை காட்டியிருக்கிறேன். நீங்களாக அதை
டி-கோட் செய்து கொள்ள வேண்டியதுதான்.

இந்த ‘ஸ்மோக்’ வெப்சீரிசை துவங்கும்போது ஒரு பத்து பேர்களைப் பற்றிய விஷயத்தை, அவர்கள் குடும்பத்தை பாதிக்காதவாறு சொல்வதற்கு திட்டமிட்டேன். ஆனால் அறிவித்து ஒரு வாரம் கூட ஆகவில்லை.. 50 பேரிடமிருந்து எதிர்ப்பு வந்தது. அப்போதுதான் தெரிந்தது இந்த 40 நம்ம பேர் லிஸ்டிலேயே இல்லையே என நினைத்தேன். சில பேர் எனக்கு குடும்பம், குழந்தைகள் இருக்கிறார்கள் என்று கூறியபோது, நான் என்னுடைய கதையை தான் சொல்லப் போகிறேன்.. நீங்கள் ஏன் பயப்படுகிறீர்கள் என்று கேட்டேன்.. இன்னும் பத்து பதினைந்து நாட்களுக்குள் இதன் டிரைலர் வெளியாகும்..

நான் உதவி இயக்குநராக வேலை பார்க்க கிட்டத்தட்ட எட்டு இயக்குநர்களை அணுகினேன். ஆனால் அவர்களோ நீங்கள் பார்க்க நன்றாக இருக்கிறீர்கள் கவர்ச்சியான பெண்ணாகவும் இருக்கிறீர்கள்.. நான் உங்களை பார்ப்பேனா ? பாதுகாப்பேனா ? என்னுடைய படவேலையை பார்ப்பேனா என்று கேட்டார்கள். அதனால் விட்டு விட்டேன். எனக்கு எல்லாருடைய டைரக்ஷனும் பிடிக்கும். என்றாலும் ரொம்ப பிடித்தது என்றால் பாலுமகேந்திரா, பரதன் ஆகியோரின் ஸ்டைல் தான்.
