The bi-annual Dr B Ramamurthi Oration was delivered by Gopalkrishna Gandhi, former Governor, Diplomat and Administrator on Sunday 23rd February 2025 at a function at Chennai, organised as part of the Asian Australasian (AASNS) Neurosurgery conference. Dr Krish Sridhar, Group Mentor and Director Neurosciences, Kauvery Hospital introduced the orator and said that Dr B Ramamurthi was a pioneer neurosurgeon of India, a founding member of the Neurological Society of India (NSI) and the Asian Australasian Society as well as a Guru, mentor, friend and guide to many Shri Gopalkrishna Gandhi spoke on “The Wily way of Anger” highlighting the human reactions to anger and their consequences. He said “Anger is a universal human attribute and no human is free from it. It is like living with a creature that overpowers us from time to time making of us say and do that of which we are bound to be ashamed and letting it do so.” The AASNS International meeting saw more than 200 delegates participating with over 20 international faculty. Deliberations on Head and Spine Injury, Spinal surgery and Brain tumour surgery took place over 2 days. There was a significant participation from young neurosurgeons. Dr Krish Sridhar, who is also the Vice Chair Education Committee of the AASNS and the President Elect of the NSI said “education has always been an important objective for any Neurosurgical society. It is important that the experience and expertise of senior and established neurosurgeons be passed on to the next generation. Dr Ramamurthi was the epitome of education and mentorship oof young neurosurgeons and it is but appropriate that the Memorial Oration was delivered on the backdrop of such an educational program.”

AASNS-இன் சர்வதேச சந்திப்பில், 200க்கும் மேற்பட்ட பிரதிநிதிகள், 20க்கும் மேற்பட்ட சர்வதேச ஆசிரியர்களுடன் கலந்துகொண்டனர். தலை மற்றும் முதுகுத்தண்டு காயம், முதுகுத்தண்டு அறுவைச் சிகிச்சை மற்றும் மூளைக் கட்டி அறுவைச் சிகிச்சை குறித்த ஆலோசனைகள் 2 நாட்கள் நடந்தன. இச்சந்திப்பில், இளம் நரம்பியல் அறுவைச் சிகிச்சை நிபுணர்களின் குறிப்பிடத்தக்க பங்கேற்பு இருந்தது.

Actor Kamal Haasan announced as Chairman of FICCI Media and Entertainment, South
CHENNAI, 21 February 2025: Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr Udhayanidhi Stalin, along with legendary actor-filmmaker Mr Kamal Haasan, today inaugurated the two-day media and entertainment conclave ‘FICCI MEBC South’. Mr Haasan was also announced as the Chairman of FICCI Media and Entertainment Committee, South.
Mr Udhayanidhi Stalin, Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu emphasized the importance of regional industries in driving global recognition. He expressed his commitment to realize the dream of Dr. Kalaignar (Dr. Karunanidhi) to make Tamil Nadu an entertainment epicenter. “A key initiative is the establishment of a state-of-the-art film city spread across 152 acres in Chennai. This world-class facility will include advanced post-production studios, virtual production technologies, animation and VFX studios, LED walls, and even a 5-star hotel for industry professionals,” he added.
He also made an important announcement towards fulfilling the dream of Dr. Karunanidhi, saying, “In 2010, during Dr. Kalaignar (Dr. Karunanidhi) a 90-acre land near Kelambakkam was allocated for a 99-year lease to film industry organizations for building residential complexes. The construction was to be completed within three years, but the beneficiaries couldn’t finish it, rendering the order invalid. In response to a request from the associations, our Chief Minister decided to revise the order, allowing the land to be used for the intended construction. The revised order was issued recently,” Mr Stalin highlighted.
Mr Kamal Haasan while sharing his insights into the evolving media landscape said, “Indian cinema can become true ambassador for Indian culture. We need a long-term vision for Indian cinema, for which the government, both the state and the centre, will have to come up with regulations to not contain emerging technologies, but include emerging technologies without it impeding the existing market. Also, a request since the Deputy CM is here that we need to relook and reform the state entertainment tax on cinema.”

‘ஃபிக்கி (FICCI) ஊடகம் மற்றும் பொழுதுபோக்கு வணிக மாநாடு (MEBC)–சவுத் கனெக்ட் 2025’-ஐ தமிழ்நாடு துணை முதலமைச்சர் திரு உதயநிதி ஸ்டாலின், நடிகர் மற்றும் இயக்குநர் கமல் ஹாசனுடன் இணைந்து தொடங்கி வைத்தார். இந்நிகழ்ச்சியில் FICCI ஊடகம் மற்றும் பொழுதுபோக்கு (தெற்கு) அமைப்பின் தலைவராக கமல் ஹாசன் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டார்.

உலகளாவிய அங்கீகாரத்தை ஈர்ப்பதில் பிராந்திய மொழிகளின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை மாண்புமிகு துணை முதலமைச்சர் திரு. உதயநிதி ஸ்டாலின் தனது உரையில் வலியுறுத்தினார். தமிழ்நாட்டை ஒரு பொழுதுபோக்கு மையமாக மாற்ற வேண்டும் என்ற டாக்டர் கலைஞர் (டாக்டர் கருணாநிதி) அவர்களின் கனவை நனவாக்குவதற்கான தனது உறுதிப்பாட்டை அவர் வெளிப்படுத்தினார். சென்னையில் 152 ஏக்கர் பரப்பளவில் ஒரு அதிநவீன திரைப்பட நகரத்தை நிறுவுவது இந்த பயணத்தில் ஒரு முக்கிய முயற்சியாக திகழும். இந்த உலகத்தரம் வாய்ந்த நகரத்தில் அதி நவீன போஸ்ட்-புரொடக்ஷன் ஸ்டுடியோக்கள், மெய்நிகர் தயாரிப்பு தொழில்நுட்பங்கள், அனிமேஷன் மற்றும் VFX ஸ்டுடியோக்கள், LED சுவர்கள் மற்றும் தொழில் வல்லுநர்களுக்கான 5 நட்சத்திர ஹோட்டல் என அனைத்து வசதிகளும் இடம்பெறும்,” என்று திரு. உதயநிதி ஸ்டாலின் கூறினார்.
டாக்டர் கருணாநிதியின் கனவை நிறைவேற்றும் நோக்கில் மற்றுமொரு முக்கியமான அறிவிப்பையும் அவர் வெளியிட்டார். “2010ம் ஆண்டு, டாக்டர் கலைஞர் ஆட்சிக் காலத்தில், கேளம்பாக்கம் அருகே 90 ஏக்கர் நிலம் திரைப்படத் துறை அமைப்புகளுக்கு குடியிருப்பு வளாகங்கள் கட்டுவதற்காக 99 ஆண்டு குத்தகைக்கு ஒதுக்கப்பட்டது. கட்டுமானப் பணிகள் மூன்று ஆண்டுகளுக்குள் முடிக்கப்பட வேண்டும், ஆனால் பயனாளிகளால் அதை முடிக்க முடியவில்லை, இதனால் உத்தரவு செல்லாமல் போனது. திரையுலக சங்கங்களின் கோரிக்கைக்கு செவி சாய்த்து, நமது முதலமைச்சர் அந்த உத்தரவைத் திருத்தி, நிலத்தை திரையுலகினர் பயன்படுத்த அனுமதித்துள்ளார். திருத்தப்பட்ட உத்தரவு சமீபத்தில் வெளியிடப்பட்டுள்ளது,” என்றார்.
திரு கமல்ஹாசன் பேசுகையில், “இந்திய சினிமா நமது கலாச்சாரத்தின் உண்மையான தூதராக திகழ முடியும். இந்திய சினிமாவின் வளர்ச்சிக்கு ஒரு நீண்டகால தொலைநோக்கு திட்டம் நமக்கு தேவை. இதற்காக மத்திய மற்றும் மாநில அரசுகள் வளர்ந்து வரும் தொழில்நுட்பங்களைக் கட்டுப்படுத்தாமல் சந்தை வளர்ச்சியை ஊக்குவிக்கும் வகையில் வளர்ந்து வரும் தொழில்நுட்பங்களை உள்ளடக்கிய விதிமுறைகளை உருவாக்க வேண்டும்,” என்று கூறினார்.
“மேலும், சினிமா மீதான மாநில பொழுதுபோக்கு வரியை மறுபரிசீலனை செய்து சீர்திருத்த வேண்டும் என்பதை ஒரு வேண்டுகோளாக துணை முதல்வரிடம் தெரிவிக்கிறேன்,” என்று அவர் மேலும் கூறினார்.

இசையமைப்பாளர் அபே ஒரு பிளாக் பஸ்டர் ஹிட் பாடலுக்கு இசையமைத்துள்ளார். இந்த பாடலில் பின்னணி பாடகர்களான காலா பைரவா – அனுராக் குல்கர்னி மற்றும் மங்லி ஆகியோரின் துடிப்பான குரல்கள் இடம் பிடித்திருக்கிறது. பாடலாசிரியர் காசர்லா ஷ்யாம் அற்புதமான பாடல் வரிகளை எழுதியுள்ளார்.

‘நாக பந்தம்’ 2025 ஆம் ஆண்டில் தமிழ் , தெலுங்கு, இந்தி, மலையாளம் மற்றும் கன்னடம் ஆகிய மொழிகளில் இந்தியா முழுவதும் வெளியிட திட்டமிடப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.
