Chennai, 01-12-2024 – Vels University, located in Chennai, celebrated its 15th Convocation Ceremony today, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s journey. The ceremony was graced by the Honorable Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Shri Om Birla, who attended as the chief guest.

In his convocation address, Shri Om Birla commended the university’s remarkable journey under the visionary leadership of Dr. Ishari Ganesh, who continues the legacy of his father, the late Mr. Ishari Velan, a former minister in M.G.R.’s Cabinet. Shri Birla highlighted Dr. Ganesh’s exceptional leadership in shaping Vels University into one of Tamil Nadu’s most respected educational institutions, emphasizing the forward-thinking approach that has led to the creation of multiple centers of excellence at the university.

Mr. S. J. Surya – Acclaimed director, actor, producer, lyricist, and singer, honored with an honorary doctorate for his 25-year career in the film industry. His debut in Vali and continued success in South Indian cinema were celebrated as major milestones in his journey.

Mr. Pullela Gopichand – Celebrated badminton coach, awarded an honorary doctorate for his invaluable contribution to Indian badminton. Mr. Gopichand’s mentorship of athletes like Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu, as well as his efforts in promoting the sport, earned him national recognition, including the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan.

Mr. C. K. Kumaravel – Founder of Naturals Group of Beauty Salons, honored for his entrepreneurial achievements. With over 700 stores worldwide, Kumaravel has transformed the beauty industry and strives to empower women entrepreneurs through his initiatives.

Nandamuri Mokshagnya, the grandson of legendary actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao and son of actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna, is set to make his grand debut with a crazy project to be directed by Creative Gem Prasanth Varma, known for his recent blockbuster HanuMan. Mokshagnya’s debut film will be part of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU).

Mokshagnya has undergone comprehensive training in acting, fights, and dances, ensuring he delivers a memorable performance. Interim, a new still of Mokshagnya, gazing into a mirror in a modern, stylish look, has been released. The image showcases his natural charisma and confidence. Dressed in a casual checkered shirt, with long, perfectly styled hair and a beard, he exudes a sophisticated aura that has already captured the attention of fans. His sleek appearance hints at the promising star he is set to become in the Telugu film industry.

The high-budget project will be produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri of SLV Cinemas, in collaboration with Legend Productions, with M Tejeswini Nandamuri serving as the presenter. Announced on Mokshagnya’s birthday, the film already created stir. The movie which draws inspiration from an ancient mythological legend, is in the last phase of pre-production.

The makers will soon announce the other details of this crazy project.

The much-awaited film Tharunam, produced by Pugazh and Eden under the banner of Zhen Studios, is set for release this Pongal.

Directed by Arvindh Srinivasan, who made his debut in Tamil cinema with Dejavu, the film stars Kishen Das and Smruthi in the lead roles. The movie also features prominent actors such as Bala Saravanan, Raj Ayyappan, Geetha Kailasam, and Sreeja Ravi in key supporting roles.

Cinematography for Tharunam is handled by Raja Bhattacharjee, while the editing is done by Arul E Siddharth. The film boasts of a musical score by Darbuka Siva for the songs and Ashwin Hemanth for the background score. Currently, the film is in its final stages of production.

The makers have now confirmed that Tharunam will hit the screens this Pongal.

2025 பொங்கல் வெளியீடாக வரும் ‘தருணம்’

ஸென் ஸ்டுடியோஸ் சார்பில் புகழ் மற்றும் ஈடன் தயாரித்து வரும் திரைப்படம் ‘தருணம்’.

‘தேஜாவு’ படத்தின் மூலம் தமிழ் திரையுலகில் அறிமுகமான அரவிந்த் ஸ்ரீநிவாசன் இயக்கியுள்ள தருணம் படத்தில் கிஷன் தாஸ் மற்றும் ஸ்ம்ருதி கதையின் நாயகர்களாக நடித்துள்ளனர். மேலும் இப்படத்தில் பால சரவணன், ராஜ் அய்யப்பன், கீதா கைலாசம், ஸ்ரீஜா ரவி உள்ளிட்டோர் முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரங்களில் நடித்துள்ளனர்.

ராஜா பட்டார்ஜி ஒளிப்பதிவாளராகவும், அருள் சித்தார்த் படத்தொகுப்பாளராகவும் பணியாற்றியுள்ள இப்படத்திற்க்கு தர்புகா சிவா பாடல்களுக்கான இசையும், அஸ்வின் ஹேமந்த் பிண்ணனி இசையும் மேற்கொண்டுள்ளனர். தற்போது இப்படத்தின் இறுதிகட்ட பணிகள் முழுவீச்சில் நடைபெற்று வருகிறது.
