En Iniya Thamizh Makkale, In Indian cinema, thanks to his mesmerising voice and mastery in various languages, one voice that has been breathlessly singing melodies soothing our hearts is that of Paadum Nila SPB.
Today, we are in tears to know that he is affected by COVID19. It is heart-wrenching to see film personalities, politicians, people from from various walks of lives and general public in sorrow hearing about SPB’s health condition.
SPB knows only to sow seeds of love. He is wonderful artiste. He should be back amongst us soon. We will get him back.
Lets all pray mother nature to give SPB to us. Ilayaraja, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vairamuthu, AR Rahman, film actors and actresses, directors, musicians, FEFSI members, producers, theatre-owners, distributors and media persons besides billions of SPB fans across the globe will play SPB songs at 6 pm on 20 August at their respective places and pray for his speedy recovery. I invite everyone to be part of the mass prayer.
When Ponmana Semmal MGR was hospitalised, we did such a prayer. He was back hale and hearty. Similarly we will pray for recovery of SPB now. Let’s join irrespective of caste, language or creed for SPB. His voice should be heard again. Let’s come together and pray.

என் இனிய தமிழ் மக்களே..
இந்திய திரை உலகில் ஐம்பது ஆண்டுகளுக்கு மேலாக தன் இனிமையான குரலால் மக்களை மகிழ்வித்தும், மொழிகளை வளமைப்படுத்திக் கொண்டும் ஒரு குயில் மூச்சுவிடாமல் இன்றும் நம்மைத் தாலாட்டிக் கொண்டு இருக்கிறது என்றால் அது ‘பாடும் நிலா’ எஸ்.பி.பி தான். தற்போது அவன் கொரோனா தாக்குதலுக்கு ஆட்பட்டு முடக்கப்பட்டுள்ளான் என்று நினைக்கும்போது கண்ணீர் மல்கிறது. அவன் நிலையைக் கண்டு திரையுலக நட்சத்திரங்கள், அரசியல் பிரமுகர்கள், அனைத்து துறைக் கலைஞர்கள், பொதுமக்கள் என அனைவரும் வேதனை அடைவதை பார்த்து நெஞ்சம் பதறுகிறது. அன்பை மட்டுமே விதைக்கத் தெரிந்தவன், பண்பாளன், மாபெரும் கலைஞன். அந்த கலைஞன் மீண்டு வரவேண்டும். நாம் மீட்டு வரவேண்டும்.
அதற்காக இயற்கை அன்னையை பிரார்த்திக்கும் வகையில் திரு.இளையராஜா, திரு.ரஜினிகாந்த், திரு.கமல்ஹாசன், திரு.வைரமுத்து, திரு.ஏ.ஆர்.ரஹ்மான் மற்றும் அனைத்து திரைப்பட நடிகர் நடிகைகள், தொழில்நுட்பக் கலைஞர்கள், இயக்குநர்கள், இசைக் கலைஞர்கள், பெப்சி அமைப்பினர், தயாரிப்பாளர்கள், திரையரங்க உரிமையாளர்கள், விநியோகஸ்தர்கள், ஊடக கலைஞர்கள் மற்றும் உலகமெங்கும் உள்ள இசை ரசிகர்கள் உள்ளிட்ட அனைவரும் நாளை (20-8-2020(வியாழக்கிழமை)) இந்திய நேரப்படி மாலை 6 மணிக்கு தங்களுக்குப் பிடித்த எஸ்.பி.பி பாடலை ஒலிக்கவிட்டு அவர் பூரண நலம்பெற பிரார்த்தனை செய்யுமாறு கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறேன். இந்தக் கூட்டுப் பிரார்த்தனைக்கு உலகமெங்கும் வாழும் மக்களை அன்புடன் அழைக்கிறேன்.
பொன்மனச் செம்மல் எம்.ஜி.ஆர் அவர்கள் உடல்நலம் குன்றி வெளிநாட்டில் சிகிச்சையில் இருந்த போது, இந்த மாதிரி ஒரு கூட்டுப் பிரார்த்தனை செய்தோம். அவர் அதிலிருந்து மீண்டு தமிழகத்தில் காலடி எடுத்து வைத்தார். அதே போல் இந்தக் கூட்டுப் பிரார்த்தனை மூலம் குரலில் பொன்மனச் செம்மலான எஸ்.பி.பியை மீட்டெடுப்போம் வாருங்கள். இனம், மொழி, மதம் கடந்து ஒரு மகா கலைஞனை மீட்டெடுப்போம். அவன் குரல் காற்றில் மீண்டும் ஒலிக்க வேண்டும். ஒன்று கூடுவோம். பிரார்த்திப்போம்
