Chennai, July 19, 2024 – The Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation’s (ICAF’s) Chennai International Film Festival is delighted to announce a three-day Korean Film Festival, taking place at the prestigious Tagore Film Centre in Chennai. The festival will be held on the 19th, 20th, and 21st of July 2024, commencing on the first day at 6:00 p.m and at 12:00 p.m on the subsequent two days.
Lighting the lamp was done by the Consul General Mr. Chang – nyun Kim of The Republic of Korea in Chennai, Chief Guest Mr. SL Narayanan, Group CFO, Sun Group Vice President of ICAF Mr. Anand Rengaswamy, General Secretary Mr. AVM K Shanmugam and Mr. Jehyoung Lee, Deputy Consul General of The Republic of Korea in Chennai.
The festival was inaugurated by Mr. Anand Rengaswamy, Vice President of ICAF in the presence of Mr. AVM K. Shanmugam, General Secretary of ICAF. The evening’s highlight was the presence of the esteemed Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Chennai, Mr. Chang-nyun Kim, who graced the event as a distinguished guest. The Chief Guest for the evening was Mr. SL Narayanan, Group CFO of Sun Group.
The festival kicked off with the screening of the critically acclaimed film “Secretly Greatly.” Over the next two days, the audience will be treated to a selection of remarkable Korean films, including:
● “The Throne”
● “A Taxi Driver”
● “Tunnel”
● “Hwayi: A Monster Boy”
Please note that entry to the festival is restricted to individuals aged 18 years and above.
