Plot Summary
“Aghathiyaa” follows the story of an art director, Aghathiyaa (Jiiva), whose life takes an unexpected turn when a film shoot he invested in is abruptly canceled, leaving him financially burdened. His assistant, Veena (Raashi Khanna), comes up with a creative yet unusual solution — converting an old house in Pondicherry into a ‘scary house’ to attract visitors and recover the lost investment.
The house, as expected, becomes a huge success until strange events begin to occur, signaling that the place is haunted. This leads Aghathiyaa and Veena to uncover the mysterious and tragic past of the house. The spirits of a cruel Frenchman, Edwin Duplex, his daughter, and his accountant (Radha Ravi) haunt the house, and through a series of clues, Aghathiyaa discovers a story of betrayal, greed, and revenge.
