‘Naangal’ is shot entirely in live sound with original background score composed by Ved Shanker, who used A R Rahman-mentored Firdaus Orchestra majorly to bring his tunes to life
Avinash Prakash, who learnt editing, screenwriting and direction in the LV Prasad Film and TV Academy and has directed TV commercials and music videos, is making his directorial debut with the film ‘Naangal’ produced by GVS Raju under the banner of Kala Bhavashri Creations. Besides writing and helming the movie, Avinash Prakash has handled the cinematography and editing as well.
‘Naangal’, which narrates the emotional tale of three children, was screened at major international film festivals including Rotterdam, Mostra Sao Paulo, Jio Mami, and Bengaluru and won heartfelt appreciation from various quarters. Following this, ‘Naangal’ is gearing up for theatrical release, and will be released by S. Subbiah of SSI Productions on April 18.
Speaking about the film, director Avinash Prakash said, “The story is about how three children who grow up under a disciplinarian father, who is dealing with his own demons. Everyone who has seen the film so far has praised it, feeling overwhelmed and emotional. I am sure the audience will also welcome it when it is released in theaters on April 18.”
Mithun V, Rithik M, Nithin D play the three children, while Abdul Rafe and Prarthana S play their parents. Director Avinash Prakash said his dog named Roxy has played a wonderful role in the movie.
Ved Shanker Sugavanam, who has composed music for films including ‘Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom’ and ‘Azhagu Kutti Chellam’, has composed the music for ‘Naangal’. He used A R Rahman-mentored Firdaus Orchestra majorly to bring his tunes to life. A soulful song Kanave composed by Ved Shanker Sugavanam, penned by Sujatha Narayanan and sung by Saindhavi is part of the movie. The film has been shot entirely in live sound.

திரைப்படக் கல்லூரியில் முறையாக படத்தொகுப்பு, திரைக்கதை அமைப்பு மற்றும் இயக்கம் உள்ளிட்டவற்றை பயின்று எண்ணற்ற விளம்பரப் படங்களில் பணியாற்றி இருக்கும் அவினாஷ் பிரகாஷ் இயக்குநராக அறிமுகமாகும் திரைப்படம் ‘நாங்கள்’.
கலா பவஸ்ரீ கிரியேஷன்ஸ் பேனரில் ஜிவிஎஸ் ராஜு தயாரித்திருக்கும் இப்படத்தை எழுதி இயக்கி இருப்பதோடு இதன் ஒளிப்பதிவு மற்றும் படத்தொகுப்பையும் அவினாஷ் பிரகாஷ் கையாண்டுள்ளார்.

படம் குறித்து பேசிய இயக்குநர் அவினாஷ் பிரகாஷ், “பெற்றோர் பிரிந்து வாழும் நிலையில் மிகவும் கண்டிப்பான தந்தையிடம் வளரும் மூன்று குழந்தைகள் வாழ்க்கையை எவ்வாறு கற்று கொள்கிறார்கள் என்பது தான் கதைக்கரு. படம் மிகவும் உணர்ச்சிப்பூர்வமாக அமைந்திருப்பதாக இதுவரை பார்த்த அனைவரும் மனமார பாராட்டி இருக்கிறார்கள். ஏப்ரல் 18 அன்று திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியாகும் போது ரசிகர்களும் வரவேற்பார்கள் என நம்புகிறேன்,” என்றார்.
மிதுன் வி, ரித்திக் எம், நிதின் டி ஆகியோர் மூன்று குழந்தைகளாக நடிக்க, அப்துல் ரஃபே மற்றும் பிரார்த்தனா எஸ் அவர்களின் பெற்றோராக நடித்துள்ளனர். முக்கிய பாத்திரத்தில் ராக்ஸி எனும் நாய் அற்புதமாக நடித்திருப்பதாக இயக்குநர் அவினாஷ் பிரகாஷ் தெரிவித்தார்.
‘நடுவுல கொஞ்சம் பக்கத்தை காணோம்’ மற்றும் ‘அழகு குட்டி செல்லம்’ உள்ளிட்ட படங்களுக்கு இசையமைத்த வேத் ஷங்கர் சுகவனம் ‘நாங்கள்’ படத்திற்கு இசையமைத்துள்ளார். ஏ ஆர் ரஹ்மான் பயிற்றுவித்த துபாயை சேர்ந்த ஃபிர்தவுஸ் ஆர்கெஸ்ட்ராவை அவர் பயன்படுத்தியுள்ளார். வேத் ஷங்கர் சுகவனம் இசையில் சுஜாதா நாராயணன் பாடல் வரிகளில் சைந்தவி பாடியுள்ள கனவே எனும் உள்ளத்தை தொடும் பாடல் இப்படத்தில் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளது. லைவ் சவுண்ட் முறையில் இப்படம் முழுக்க படமாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
