Speaking exclusively on JioHotstar on Jasprit Bumrah’s absence and how the team overcame the challenge, Rohit Sharma said: “When we learned that Bumrah wouldn’t be available, we already had a sense that his recovery might not be in time for the Champions Trophy. Given the nature of his injury and the fact that he is a fast bowler with a long career ahead, we had to be cautious. While preparing for the England series and finalizing the preliminary squad for the Champions Trophy, we had detailed discussions on how to fill the void left by Bumrah. It was always going to be a challenge, but having Mohammed Shami in the team was crucial. We needed to ensure he was at peak fitness because his record in ICC tournaments is exceptional. Looking back at past World Cups, Shami has consistently delivered outstanding performances in ICC events. So, when he played those two matches against England, we gained confidence that even in Bumrah’s absence, we had a strong alternative. Beyond Shami, we also had a lot of faith in Arshdeep and Harshit. During our planning, we clearly communicated our expectations to them, helping them understand their roles in the team. Another key factor was preparation. After the Australia tour, we had about 20-25 days before the tournament started. During that time, we closely monitored the ILT20 matches to study the pitches and playing conditions. We analyzed the type of bowlers required for those surfaces and used that information to shape our squad composition. It was always unfortunate that we came so close to winning major tournaments but couldn’t cross the final hurdle. Looking back at the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup semi-final against Australia, we made mistakes in that game—mistakes we hadn’t made in any of the previous matches. That cost us the final spot. The same happened in subsequent ICC tournaments—whether in 2016 or 2017. Sometimes, luck just wasn’t on our side. Even in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup, we played brilliantly in the first nine matches, but in the final, we fell short. Before the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup, we had serious discussions about shifting our mindset. The focus was no longer on individual milestones—whether it was scoring a hundred or taking five wickets—because, in the end, if the team doesn’t win, those achievements don’t matter. I learned this the hard way in 2019. I scored five centuries in that World Cup, but what did it mean when we didn’t win the trophy? Those five hundreds are displayed in my home, but there’s no ICC World Cup trophy alongside them. Cricket is a team sport. The real satisfaction comes from winning championships, not just individual records. So, over the last few years, we have consciously changed our approach. We kept reinforcing this message within the team. Just like teaching a child at home—you have to keep repeating the lesson until they fully understand it. To succeed, everyone in the squad had to buy into this mindset. It wasn’t just about what I or someone else believed; the entire team needed to align with this philosophy. The credit goes to the players for embracing this new approach and making it a reality.”

The only thing I want is for them to never take us lightly. Even if we are five wickets down, we have the ability to fight back and turn the game around. Until the last ball of the match is bowled, our opponents should always feel the pressure of playing against us. Similarly, when we bowl, this team never gives up. That is the kind of legacy we want to create and leave behind. We take immense pride in being a clinical and well-organized team. Murmur has become a trendsetter in the Tamil film industry for being the first-ever ‘Found Footage Horror’ Film. The film’s first-look poster, followed by the teaser and trailer, garnered a tremendous response from film enthusiasts.
The film, which had generated high expectations, was recently released in theatres and won the hearts of audiences. It initially opened on 100 screens, but due to an overwhelmingly positive response, the number of screens was doubled to 200 on the second day. With Sunday witnessing house-packed shows and Monday box office collections increasing, it is anticipated that the number of screens will continue to increase in days to come.
The film is written and directed by Hemnath Narayanan and is produced by S.P.K. Pictures Prabhakaran and Stand Alone Pictures International. Jason Williams has handled cinematography and Kevin Fredrick has taken care of sound design. Dream Warrior Pictures has released the film all over Tamil Nadu.

நடிகை தனலட்சுமி, “படத்தில் என்னுடன் வேலை பார்த்த அனைவருக்கும் வாழ்த்துக்கள். வாய்ப்பு கொடுத்த இயக்குநர், தயாரிப்பாளருக்கு நன்றி. இந்தப் படம் எனக்கு பெரிய வாய்ப்பு. என்னைப் பல பேர் ‘நக்கலைட்ஸ் மூலம் பார்த்திருப்பார்கள். காமெடி கதாபாத்திரத்தில் தான் இதுவரை நிறைய பேர் என்னைப் பாத்திருப்பீர்கள். ஆனால், இதில் கேரக்டர் ஆர்டிஸ்ட்டாகவும் வளர்ந்திருக்கிறேன். சாவு என்பது எல்லோராலும் தவிர்க்க முடியாதது. அந்த யதார்த்தத்தை இந்த படம் சொல்லியிருக்கிறது”.

நடிகை சாந்தினி, “இந்த வருடம் எனக்கு பெரிதாக அமைந்துள்ளது. மூன்றாவது படம் எனக்கு ரிலீஸ் ஆகிறது. சத்தியமாக இதுபோன்ற கதை இதற்கு முன்பு வந்தததில்லை. எப்படி இப்படி ஒரு கதையை இயக்குநர் யோசித்தார் என்பது ஆச்சரியம்தான். இந்தப் படம் வேலை பார்த்தபோது ஜாலியாக வேலை பார்த்தோம். அதற்கு முக்கியக் காரணம் நடிகர்கள்தான். ஷூட்டிங் முழுக்க சாப்பாடு வாங்கிக் கொடுத்தார்கள். எல்லா நடிகர்களும் சேர்ந்து உட்கார்ந்து சாப்பிட்டோம். தனலட்சுமி மேம் வேற லெவலில் நடித்துள்ளார். படத்தில் என்ன பெருசு என்பதை மார்ச் 14 அன்று திரையரங்கில் வந்து பாருங்கள். இந்தப் படம் நிச்சயமாக குடும்பமாக வந்து பார்க்கலாம்” என்றார்.
நடிகை நிஹாரிகா, “பாலாஜி சாருக்கு முதலில் நன்றி. அவர்தான் என்னை இந்தக் கதையை என்னிடம் சொன்னார். கார்த்திக் சுப்புராஜ் சாருடன் வேலை பார்த்தது எனக்கு பெருமை. நான் ஸ்கூல், காலேஜ் படித்த காலத்தில் இருந்து பார்த்து வளர்ந்த நடிகர்களுடன் சேர்ந்து நான் நடித்திருப்பது மகிழ்ச்சி”.
விநியோகஸ்தகர் சக்திவேலன், “இந்த வருடம் ‘பெருசு’ படத்துடன் ஸ்டோன் பெஞ்ச்சுக்கு பாசிட்டிவாக தொடங்கும். ‘பெருசு’ நிச்சயம் பெரிய வெற்றி பெறும். ஸ்டோன் பெஞ்ச் மிகவும் விருப்பதுடன் படம் செய்யக்கூடியவர்கள். நல்ல சினிமாவை ரசிகர்களுக்கு கொண்டு போய் சேர்க்க வேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணம் உள்ளவர்கள். அவர்களுடன் இணைந்து பணியாற்றியது தனி உற்சாகம். ’பெருசு’ படம் தொடங்கும்போதே பெரிய ட்விஸ்ட் இருக்கும். அதிலே நான் ஷாக் ஆகிவிட்டேன். படம் எடுத்துக் கொண்ட கதை எந்த இடத்திலும் முகம் சுழிக்க வைக்காது. தனலட்சுமி அம்மா எல்லாம் நமக்கு இன்னொரு மனோரம்மா மாதிரி. இவங்களும் தீபாக்காவும் செம காம்பினேஷன். எல்லா நடிகர்களும் போட்டி போட்டு நடித்திருக்கிறார்கள். மிகப்பெரிய வெற்றிப் படமாக அமையும்”.

Post-production works will be completed quickly to ensure ‘Accused’ hits theatres for summer holidays
Made under the banners of Jaeshan Studios in association with Sachin Cinemas, Sri Dayakaran Cine Productions, and MIY Studios, ‘Accused’ is a film produced on a grand budget by A.L. Udhaya, ‘Daya’ N. Panneerselvam, and M. Thangavel.
Directed by Prabhu Srinivas, a renowned director in the Kannada film industry known for his successful films, the film marks the silver jubilee year of Udhaya. For the first time, Udhaya is acting with Ajmal and Yogi Babu in ‘Accused’. The movie features popular Kannada actress Jahnvika as the female lead.
The shooting of ‘Accused’, which was done on a huge budget, began on January 2 at the Albert Theatre in Chennai. Due to excellent planning, the shooting was completed in a single schedule of 54 days. With the shoot coming to a close on Women’s Day, the team conveyed wishes to its women members and all women.
Since the story is set in Salem, the shoot was completed at the Salem Modern Theatres. Udhaya, Ajmal, and Yogi Babu continued to participate in the shooting and gave their outstanding contribution. Famous director Prabhu Solomon has played an important role. This is the first time that Prabhu Solomon is acting in a film that he did not direct.
Producer Amma Creations T. Siva has also played on an important role. Pawan has done a negative role, while leading villain actor of Kannada film industry, Prabhakar has also been roped in for ‘Accused’. Danny, who was very popular in the 90s thanks to Oh Maria and other songs, is acting in this film after a long gap. Subadhra, Deepa Bhaskar, Sridhar, Panneerselvam, YouTuber Dhivakar and others are also in the cast. Mumbai-based actress Sayantika makes her Tamil debut with a key role in this film.
While the film features three great songs with music by Naren Balakumar, leading music composer and actor G V Prakash has sung a song. Three thrilling fight scenes under the direction of famous action director Stunt Silva will keep the audience on the edge of their seats.
The makers of ‘Accused’ bought a luxury bus for one of the fight scenes. The stunt sequence involving Udhaya and Ajmal along with around 45 fighters and 60 supporting artistes was shot near Chennai. Also, after a long gap, the film was shot at the Puzhal Central Prison in Chennai after obtaining special permission. The film crew said that with the shooting now complete, post-production work is underway and ‘Accused’ will be released in theaters during the summer holidays.
‘Accused’, a gangster drama, explores the idea that not everyone accused of a crime is guilty. It delves into how even good people can be affected by system errors and become gangsters. Udhaya will be seen in a completely different role that he has never portrayed before. This film marks the first collaboration of Udhaya with Ajmal and Yogi Babu.
Cinematography of the film is being handled by Maruthanayagam I. The film’s editing will be done by renowned editor K.L. Praveen. The art direction is by Anand Mani, and public relations are managed by Nikil Murukan.

தயாரிப்பாளர் அம்மா கிரியேஷன்ஸ் டி சிவாவும் ஒரு முக்கிய பாத்திரத்தை ஏற்றுள்ளார். பவன் எதிர்மறை வேடத்தில் நடிக்க, கன்னட திரையுலகின் முன்னணி வில்லன் நடிகர் பிரபாகர் ‘அக்யூஸ்ட்’ படத்தில் மிரட்டியுள்ளார். 90களில் மிகவும் புகழ்பெற்ற ஓ மரியா புகழ் டானி நீண்ட இடைவெளிக்கு பிறகு இப்படத்தில் நடித்துள்ளார். சுபத்ரா, தீபா பாஸ்கர், ஶ்ரீதர், பன்னீர்செல்வம், யூடியூப் புகழ் திவாகர் உள்ளிட்டோரும் நடித்துள்ளனர். மும்பை நடிகை சயந்திகா முக்கிய வேடத்தை ஏற்று தமிழில் அறிமுகம் ஆகிறார்.
நரேன் பாலகுமார் இசையில் மூன்று முத்தான பாடல்கள் இப்படத்தில் இடம்பெறும் நிலையில், முன்னணி இசையமைப்பாளரும் நடிகருமான ஜி வி பிரகாஷ் ஒரு பாடலை பாடியுள்ளார். பிரபல ஆக்ஷன் காட்சி இயக்குநர் ஸ்டண்ட் சில்வா கைவண்ணத்தில் மூன்று பரபரப்பு சண்டைக் காட்சிகள் ‘அக்யூஸ்ட்’ படத்தில் ரசிகர்களை இருக்கையின் நுனியில் அமர வைக்கும்.
இதில் ஒரு சண்டைக்காட்சிக்காக ‘அக்யூஸ்ட்’ தயாரிப்பாளர்கள் சொந்தமாக பேருந்து ஒன்றை வாங்கினர். சுமார் 45 ஃபைட்டர்கள், 60 துணைக் கலைஞர்களுடன் உதயாவும் அஜ்மலும் பங்கேற்ற ஸ்டண்ட் காட்சி சென்னைக்கு அருகே படமாக்கப்பட்டது. மேலும், நீண்ட இடைவெளிக்கு பிறகு சிறப்பு அனுமதி பெற்று ‘அக்யூஸ்ட்’ திரைப்படம் சென்னை புழல் மத்திய சிறைச்சாலையில் படமாக்கப்பட்டது. தற்போது படப்பிடிப்பு நிறைவடைந்துள்ள நிலையில், போஸ்ட் புரொடக்ஷன் பணிகள் விரைந்து நடைபெற்று கோடை விடுமுறைக்கு திரையரங்குகளில் ‘அக்யூஸ்ட்’ வெளியாகும் என்று படக்குழுவினர் தெரிவித்தனர்.
