Professor Ashok Jhunjhunwala honoured with the Prof. Krishnaji Memorial Lecture Award
Chennai, India – March 9, 2023: IIT Madras Research Park (IITMRP), India’s first university-based research park, today announced that Professor Ashok Jhunjhunwala, President, IITMRP was conferred with the prestigious “Prof. Krishnaji Memorial Lecture Award (2022)” by The National Academy of Sciences (NASI) on the occasion of recently conducted National Science Day.
Prof. Ashok Jhunjhunwala, deemed a pioneer in nurturing Industry-Academia interaction in India towards R&D, Innovation, Product Development & Commercialization, was felicitated for his instrumental role in conceptualising IIT Madras Research Park, an innovation paradigm ecosystem and India’s first University based research park, envisioning necessary Industry-Academia Intervention and Incubation.
Prof. Ashok Jhunjhunwala was also acclaimed for his manifold contributions to Wireless Local Loop & Digital Payment Technology, Solar-DC and In-Battery Systems for Electric Vehicles, through the IITM Incubation Cell and Rural Technology Business Incubator (RTBI). Professor also served as the principal advisor to the Ministry of Power in the Govt. of India and the Ministry of Railways during the year 2017-18.

14th GRADUATION DAY & SHREYAS’23
Shri Shankarlal Sundarbai Shasun Jain College for Women, T.Nagar, Chennai organised its 14th Graduation at the college premises. The event was planned in two sessions. Tmt. P.C. Thenmozhi IPS, Inspector General of Police, SID, CBCID, Government of Tamil Nadu, Chennai was the Guest of honour for the first session and Tmt. Mythili K Rajendran IAS, Secretary to Government, Human Resources Management Department, Chennai joined as the Guest of honour for the second session. The Graduation ceremony was declared open by Smt. Usha Abhaya Srisrimal, Secretary. Our Principal Dr. Padmavathi. S welcomed the gathering, introduced the Chief guest and presented the Graduation Day Report. Tmt. P.C. Thenmozhi spoke about Education being a tool that aids in gaining an understanding of the self and the society. She added that the purpose of education would be attained only when it benefits not only the individual but also the people around. Tmt. Mythili K Rajendran congratulated all the graduands for the successful completion of their courses.
The 14th Graduation Day conferred degrees to 1281 graduands of class 2018 – 2021. 33 students had secured top 10 University ranks with an overall pass percentage of 97. Ms. Malavika. K of BBA, Ms. Sailaxmy. R of M.A Journalism & Communication and Ms. Pooja. K of BSc. Visual Communication were rewarded with Gold coins for securing the First rank and the other 30 rank holders were rewarded with Silver coins. The event came to a closure with a Pledge and the rendering of the National Anthem.
Shri Shankarlal Sundarbai Shasun Jain College for Women, T.Nagar, Chennai organised its Intercollegiate and Interdepartmental Cultural Fest, Shreyas 2k22-23 at the College premises. Shreyas 2k22-23 was themed ILUZE – A palace of wishful thinking. The Inaugural Chief Guest for the Intercollegiate fest was Mr. Bobby Simha, Actor. He hoisted the Shreyas flag and declared the fest open. Smt. Usha Abhaya Srisrimal, Secretary, Dr. S. Padmavathi, Principal, & Dr. S. Rukmani, Vice Principal felicitated the Chief Guest. Mr. Vignesh Antony, Mimicry Artist, Mr. Amuthavanan, Comedian, Mr. Vishal, VJ & Actor, and Mr. Rahul Varma, Instagram Influencer were the walk-in guests for the fest and Mr. Santhosh Kumar (Sandy master), Choreographer joined as the Valedictory Chief Guest. Immerse Yourself, Impromptu, Trashion Walk and Miss. Shreyas were the on-stage events conducted and prizes were distributed for all the 17 competitions. 25 Colleges in and around Chennai participated in the fest with more than 500 student participants. Ms. Sajitha of M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women won the title Miss. Shreyas and M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women won the Overall Trophy.
Mr. Kishen Das, Actor was the Inaugural Chief Guest for the Interdepartmental Cultural Fest and Mr. Kathirravan graced the occasion as the Valedictory Chief Guest. Mr. Srikanth Deva, Music Composer, Mr. Saravana Vickram, Actor, Mr. K. J. Iyenar, Singer, Mr. Sanjay Mohan, Actor, Mr. Thajmola, Digital Creator were the walk-in celebrities for the second day of Shreyas. A musical performance was given by the band Sruthilaya. More than 500 Shasuneons participated enthusiastically in all the 17 competitions that were conducted. The Department of B.Com Honours won the Overall trophy. The event was successfully completed with a formal Vote of Thanks by Dr. S. Rukmani, Vice Principal followed by the National Anthem.

பட்டமளிப்பு விழா & ஸ்ரேயாஸ்
ஸ்ரீ ஷங்கர்லால் சுந்தர்பாய் ஷசுன் ஜெயின் மகளிர் கல்லூரியில் 14-ஆம் ஆண்டு பட்டமளிப்பு விழா கல்லூரி வளாகத்தில் நடைபெற்றது. இதில் சென்னை, தமிழ்நாடு அரசின் மாநில புலனாய்வுத் துறை, குற்றப்பிரிவு குற்றப்புலனாய்வுத் துறையின் காவல் கண்காணிப்பாளர் திருமதி தேன்மொழி IPS அவர்களும் சென்னை அரசு மேலாண்மைத்துறையின் செயலர் திருமதி மைதிலி இராஜேந்திரன் IAS அவர்களும் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராகக் கலந்துகொண்டனர். கல்லூரிச் செயலர் ஸ்ரீமதி உஷா அபய ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீமால் அவர்கள் விழாவினைத் தொடங்கி வைக்க, கல்லூரி முதல்வர் முனைவர் சா.பத்மாவதி அவர்கள் வரவேற்புரை நல்கினார்.
தொடர்ந்து சிறப்பு விருந்தினர்கள் தங்களின் சிறப்புரையில் கல்வி என்பது பெண்களுக்கு இன்றியமையாத ஒன்று. கல்வி மட்டும்தான் அனைத்து தகுதியினையும் ஏற்படுத்தித் தரும் என்றும் பெண்கல்வி என்பது அவர்களுக்கும் அவர் குடும்பத்தின் வளர்ச்சிக்கும் மட்டுமல்லாமல் நாட்டிற்கும் பயனுள்ளதாக இருக்க வேண்டும் என்றும் உரைநிகழ்த்தினர்.
தொடர்ந்து மாணவர்களுக்குப் பட்டம் வழங்கப்பட்டது. இதில் 1281 மாணவர்கள் பட்டம் பெற்ற நிலையில், பல்கலைக்கழகத் தரவரிசையில் முதல் 3 இடத்தைப் பெற்றவர்களுக்குத் தங்கப்பதக்கமும் அடுத்த 30 இடங்களில் உள்ளவர்களுக்கு வெள்ளிப் பதக்கமும் வழங்கப்பட்டன.

இக்கலைநிகழ்ச்சியில் 15க்கும் மேற்பட்ட சிறப்புவிருந்தினர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டு நிகழ்ச்சியினைச் சிறப்பித்துள்ளனர் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

இக்கலைவிழாவில் குழுநடனம், பேஷன்வாக், அடாப்டியூன் பேஷன்அவுட் ஆஃப்ட்ராஷ் ஆகிய போட்டி நிகழ்வுகள் நடைபெற்றன. இதன் பொருட்டு ஏற்கனவே பிப்ரவரி 17 ஆம் தேதி முதல் 21 ஆம் வரை கல்லூரி வளாகத்தில் டைரக்ட்ரஸ் கட், இன்ஃபினைட் லென்ஸ், ஷிப்ரெக், நகைச்சுவை, லாயர்ஸ் அப், ஸ்கிரிப்ட்ரைட்டிங், ரிப்போர்டேஜ், சேனல்சர்ஃபிங், க்ரூம்அப், மைம், குழுப்பாடல், சைகைமொழி ஆகிய கலைவிழாப் போட்டிகள் நிகழ்த்தப்பட்டன. அப்போட்டிகளில் MOP வைணவக் கல்லூரி, எத்திராஜ் மகளிர் கல்லூரி ஸ்டெல்லா மகளிர் கல்லூரி, ஸ்ரீ கண்ணிகா பரமேஸ்வரி கல்லூரி என 20க்கும் மேற்பட்ட கல்லூரிகளிலிருந்து மாணவிகள் கலந்து கொண்டனர். வெற்றியடைந்த மாணவர்களில் அனைத்து நிலைகளிலும் தனது தனித்துவத்தையும் திறமையையும் வெளிக்காட்டிய வைணவ மகளிர் கல்லூரி மாணவி செல்வி சஜிதா அவர்களுக்கு மிஸ் ஸ்ரேயாஸ் என்ற பட்டம் வழங்கப்பட்டது. அதே வகையில் எல்லா நிலைகளிலும் சிறந்து விளங்கிய வைணவ மகளிர் கல்லூரியே வெற்றிக் கோப்பையையும் (Overall championship) தட்டிச்சென்றது.

Chennai, March 9, 2023: Tamil Nadu has always been a melting pot of diverse talent. Several eminent personalities from the state gained global recognition with their extraordinary talent and willpower. Celebrating this strength in talent, ITC Sunfeast Supermilk ‘SUPERKIDS Award 2023’, is an endeavor to celebrate, encourage and support exceptional young achievers from across the state.

The first edition of ITC Sunfeast Supermilk ‘SUPERKIDS Award 2023’ was held at a glittering event at ITC Grand Chola. Mrs. Sneha Prasanna, the Brand Endorser, and Mr. Ali Harris Shere, Chief Operating Officer, Biscuits & Cakes Cluster, Foods Division, ITC Ltd., presented the trophies to the prodigies for their exceptional achievements in the respective fields.

The ‘SUPERKIDS 2023’ recognized prodigies from various fields who have made both the state & the country proud with their accomplishments. Gukesh D, best known as one of the youngest grandmasters in history, earned the Grand master title at the age of 12. In March last year, Gukesh became only the sixth Indian to break the 2700 Elo-rating mark, and the youngest Grandmaster from the country to do so. He recently defeated World Champion Magnus Carlsen. Lydian Nadhaswaram, a stellar musician who can play more than 20 instruments, represented India amongst 185 countries around the globe & won the CBS’ The World’s Best talent competition.

Vinisha Umashankar, an artist, a TEDx speaker, an innovator, and an environmentalist, is well-known for her innovation, the Solar Ironing Cart. She spoke at the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 in Glasgow. Prasiddhi Singh, a social entrepreneur and environmental activist, is the founder of the Prasiddhi Forest Foundation. At a tender age of 10, she is a Prime Minister National Child Awardee. Dr. Prisha K, youngest yoga teacher known for her inspirational work in teaching yoga to visually impaired individuals, holds many ‘world’s first’ titles including youngest yoga teacher for blind certified by NCPCR central government, youngest most world record holder with 70 world records, youngest most honorary doctorate holder from USA and India, youngest author on yoga therapy, etc.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ali Harris Shere, Chief Operating Officer, Biscuits & Cakes Cluster, Foods Division, ITC Ltd. said, “It is important for children to be exposed to various fields while growing up and then basis their affinity, be encouraged to follow their pursuits. They spoke about the challenges they faced and what it took to pursue their dreams with dedication and passion. The Superkids also emphasized on the constant support they received from their parents, highlighting the strength of upbringing that built their confidence and gave them a strong foundation.

Detailed profile of the child prodigies who were felicitated during the event are:

Indian GM Dommaraju Gukesh is a young chess prodigy. He is best known as one of the youngest grandmasters in history. In January 2019, Gukesh earned the Grand Master title at 12 years, 7 months and 17 days of age—narrowly missing GM Sergey Karjakin’s record by 17 days. In March last year, Gukesh became only the sixth Indian to break the 2700 Elo-rating mark, and the youngest Grandmaster from the country to be rated above 2700. He was recently honoured with Player-of-the-Year award by the Asian Chess Federation (ACF) for clinching the gold medal with a record-breaking score of 9/11 in the 44th Chess Olympiad at Mahabalipuram last year.

Lydian Nadhaswaram is a young Indian musician who is from Chennai. He plays more than 20 musical instruments. Lydian is the title winner of The CBS World’s Best Competition Season 1 in 2019. He represented India amongst 185 Countries around the globe and is also the first Indian musician to appear on the Ellen DeGeneres show & The Siempre Ninos Spanish tv show in Telemundo networks. Lydian has been a TED speaker & Performer for the past 5 years. The youngest solo pianist to play along with The Symphony Orchestra of India in 2019. Now he is a one and only student to Maestro Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja. He has won many accolades including, Saadhanai Thamizhan Award 2019, Vikatan Award, , Indian Book of Records for the youngest and fastest pianist and many more.

Prasiddhi Singh, is an entrepreneur and social activist. At the age of 10, she is a Prime Minister National Child Awardee (Highest Civilian Honor Under 18 years). She is the founder of the Prasiddhi Forest Foundation. The youngest Fruit Forest Creator of India-by-India book of Records. She is also the Brand Ambassador for the Nationwide Girl literacy campaign – “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” by Tamil Nadu Government and a Child Ambassador of Green Tamil Nadu Mission. Prasiddhi is an advocate of biodiversity, she has created her own eco army of 36,000+ eco-warriors spread across the globe. Two times TEDx speaker, Prasiddhi is also the youngest keynote speaker of Harvard Model United Nations, India. Now she is working on Web3 Climate technology & Nature Based Solutions. She has won many awards and recognition including – The Diana Award – U.K (Highest & Prestigious global accolade for social Action & Humanitarian efforts), among others.

Vinisha Umashankar, is a Grade 11 student, an artist, a TEDx speaker, an innovator, and an environmentalist. She is well-known for her innovation, the Solar Ironing Cart. She was the only school student and the youngest Earthshot Prize 2021 finalist. She spoke at the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 in Glasgow. At the World Leaders’ Summit, her five-minute speech went viral on social media and 30 million views. Vinisha advocates change through innovation.

DR. K. Prisha is the world’s first youngest yoga teacher for blind certified by NCPCR central government, holder of 70 world records, honorary doctorate holder from USA and India, world’s first youngest author on yoga therapy. Prisha has represented India in International yoga competitions held at Malaysia and Thailand and won Gold medal and world championship. Prisha has participated in district, state, national, international yoga competitions and won more than 200 gold medals. She has received numerous awards such as Global child prodigy award, Abdul Kalam Award, Annai Teresa award to name a few.

Siruvan Samuel, the first Kanyakumari-based Children’s film, was screened today successful at the Children’s Film Festival held at Anna Centenary Library. Honorable Educational minister, Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi graced the occasion along with several other dignitaries from the education department.

He also met the director Sadhu Burlington and the entire crew of Siruvan Samuel, and wished them all the best for the film’s theatrical release. The film that was well-received by students, is tentatively scheduled to release in May.

பி. நடராஜன் வழங்கும் ஆபரேஷன் அரபைமா படத்தை தயாரித்து இயக்கியுள்ளார், முன்னாள் கப்பல்விடை வீரர் பிராஷ். ரகுமான், நாடோடிகள் அபிநயா, டினி டாம், நேகா சக்ஸேனா, ஷிகாத், பாலாஜி உள்பட பலர் நடித்திருக்கும் இப்படத்தின் ட்ரைலர் வெளியீட்டு விழா சென்னையில் 07.03.2023 இன்று நடைபெற்றது. அந்த விழாவில் கலந்து கொண்ட அப்படகுழுவினர் பேசியதாவது

இயக்குநர் பிராஷ் பேசும்போது,

நேற்று என் படத்தின் ட்ரைலரை முதன் முதலாக பிரசாத் லேப் தியேட்டரில் செக் பண்ணும்போது பார்க்கையில் ரொம்ப உணர்ச்சிவசப்பட்டேன். ஊரில் எனது அம்மா பெயரில் ஒரு திரையரங்கம் இருந்தது. என் அப்பாவை சிலர் ஏமாற்றி விட்டார்கள். அந்த திரையரங்கத்தை அபகரித்துக்கொண்டார்கள். ஆனாலும் நான் சினிமாவை விடவில்லை. சினிமா என்னைக் கைவிடவில்லை. பெற்றோருக்கு தெரியாமல் சினிமாவை கற்றுக் கொண்டேன். இருப்பினும், கடலோர காவற்படையில் தேர்வானேன். அதிக நாட்கள் சென்னையில் தான் இருந்தேன். கப்பல்படை, விமானப்படை, தரைப்படை என மூன்று படைத்தளங்களிலும் பணியாற்றிய அதிர்ஷ்டசாலி நான் என்று நினைக்கிறேன்.

அதன் பின் ஒரு விபத்தில் சிக்கினேன். நான் அந்த விபத்திலிருந்து மீண்டு வந்ததற்கு காரணமே அப்துல் கலாம் ஐயா-வின் “விங்ஸ் ஆப் பயர்” புத்தகம் தான். அந்த புத்தகத்தை படித்துவிட்டு, நான் அப்துல் கலாம் ஐயாவை பார்க்க வேண்டும் என்று முடிவு செய்து, அவருக்கு கடிதம் எழுதி அவரை சந்தித்தேன். அதன் பின், அவரின் வாழ்க்கையை ஒரு சுய சரிதை படமாக எனக்கு மட்டுமே அந்த உரிமையை கொடுத்தார். 2014ஆம் ஆண்டு அப்படத்தின் அறிவிப்பை வெளியிட்டேன். அதன் பின் சில காரணங்களால் அப்படம் இன்னும் முழுமையாக எடுக்கப்படவில்லை. அப்படத்தில் விக்ரம் சாராபாயாக “சீயான்” விக்ரம் சார் தான் நடிக்கிறார். இன்னமும் அந்த படம் உயிருடன் தான் இருக்கிறது.

போர்க்கப்பலில் படமாக்கப்பட்ட முதல் தமிழ் படம் ஆபரேஷன் அரபைமா வாகத்தான் இருக்கும். நாம், இப்படத்தை கம்ப்யூட்டர் க்ராபிக்ஸ் மூலம் எடுத்திருக்க முடியும். ஆனால், உண்மையான கப்பல்களை காட்டும் அழகு வராது. ஆனால், அந்த சவால்களையும் செய்துள்ளோம். கடலில் ஒரு காட்சியை படம் பிடிப்பது கடினம். கடல் சீற்றம், காற்று என அனைத்தையும் கணித்து படம் பிடிக்க வேண்டும். நாங்கள் அதை செய்துள்ளோம்.

நடிகை நேஹா சக்ஸேனா பேசும்போது

நான் பஞ்சாபி பெண். ஆனால், தமிழ் படிக்க வேண்டும் பேச வேண்டும் என்ற ஆசை இருக்கிறது. என் அப்பா என்னுடைய சிறு வயதில் ஒரு விபத்தில் இறந்து விட்டார். என் அம்மா தான் என்னை வளர்த்தார். வாழ்க்கையில் முன்னேற எதாவது ஒரு லட்சியம் வைத்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்று அம்மா கூறினார். பல மொழிகளில் 12 வருடங்களாக நடித்து வருகிறேன். சினிமாவிற்கு மொழிகள் கிடையாது. ஒரு மாநிலத்திற்குள் நாம் வேலைக்காக அல்லது நம் தேவைக்காக செல்லும்போது அந்த மாநிலத்தின் மொழியை நாம் கற்றுக்கொள்வது அந்த மாநிலத்திற்குச் செய்யும் மரியாதை. நான் பஞ்சாபி பெண்… ஆனால் தமிழ், தெலுங்கு, கன்னட, மலையாள சினிமாக்களில் வேலை செய்யும் போது அந்தந்த மொழியைக் கற்றுக்கொள்கிறேன். அதில் எனக்கு ரொம்பவே சந்தோஷம் என்று பேசி கைத்தட்டல்களை வாங்கினார்.

நடிகர் டினி டாம் பேசும்போது

தமிழில் இது எனக்கு முதல் படம். அனைத்து நடிகர்களுக்கும் தமிழில் நடிக்க வேண்டும் என்ற ஆசை இருக்கும். காரணம், தமிழ் தான் உலகின் பழமையான மொழி.

நண்பகல் நேரத்து மயக்கம் திரைப்படம் சமீபத்தில் வெளியானது. அந்த படம் மலையாளப் படம் தான். ஆனால், அந்த படத்தின் தலைப்பு தமிழில் இருக்கிறது. கதை தமிழ் நாட்டின் தான் நடக்கிறது. இனிமேல் மலையாள மக்கள் முழுப்படத்தையும் கூட தமிழில் எடுத்து அதை மலையாளப் படமாக வெளியிட்டாலும் ஆச்சர்யமில்ல. அந்த வகையில் ஆபரேஷன் அரபைமா படக்குழுவில் உள்ள மலையாள சொந்தங்களை நான் தமிழ்நாட்டின் சார்பாக வரவேற்கிறேன்.

இந்த படத்தின் இயக்குநர் பிராஷ் சார் கடற்படையில் வேலை பார்த்துவிட்டு, அரண் என்ற படத்தில் துணை இயக்குனராக வேலை செய்தார். பின்பு, மிலிட்டரி ஆபரேஷன் பற்றி ஒரு படம் எடுக்க வேண்டும் என்று முடிவு செய்து இப்படத்தை இயக்கியுள்ளார். இப்படம் கொச்சின், சென்னை, திருவனந்தபுரம், அந்தமான், துபாய் போன்ற இடங்களில் படமாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இப்படத்தின் பாடல்கள் எழுத கேரளா சென்றேன். அப்போது என்னுடைய அரசியல் பதிவுகளைப் பார்த்துவிட்டு இந்த படமும் அரசியல் மற்றும் ராணுவ ஆபரேஷன் பற்றி தான் எடுக்கிறோம். ஆகையால், இப்படத்திற்கு நீங்கள் வசனம் எழுத வேண்டும் என்று என்று பிராஷ் சார் அழைத்தார்.

Music Director C Sathya has been ennobled as a gifted musician, who delivers loveable tracks in diversified genres. He has now created a beautiful indie song titled ‘Penne Penne’, for the special occasion of International Women’s Day, crooned by his daughters Sneha and Vaimu.

Music Director C Sathya says, “It’s a song made for the occasion of Women’s Day. Usually, society often speaks about women’s empowerment and adoring womanhood, but everything remains confined to the verbal statement. In reality, the negativity still exists as we often come across mishaps involving harassment and abuse of women and even little girls. Hence, I wanted the lyrics to have negative shades, but in contrast, the music will have a lively pop album feeling. The thought behind this song was to give awareness to women.”

This song composed by C Sathya has lyrics with a deep meaning, and it talks about abuses faced by women in daily life but with the most soothing music, with just guitar and the beautiful voices of C. Sathya’s daughters Sneha & Vaimu.

Prabhakar is the director and cinematographer of this song, which features lyrics written by Lyricist Thozhan.

Jagan Raj & Manibarathi (Associate Cinematographers), Adhitya Krishnamurthy (Editing), Veera Ragavan (DI), EVA (Makeup), and Yogesh (VFX) are the other technicians involved in the creation of this song.

பல தரப்பட்ட ஜானர்களில் அற்புதமான இசையைத் தரக்கூடிய திறமையான இசையமைப்பாளர் சி சத்யா. அவர் இப்போது சர்வதேச மகளிர் தினத்திற்காக ‘பெண்ணே பெண்ணே’ என்ற ஒரு அழகான சுயாதீனப் பாடலை உருவாக்கியுள்ளார். இந்தப் பாடலை அவரது மகள்கள் சினேகா மற்றும் வைமு ஆகியோர் பாடியுள்ளனர்.

Shooting for ‘Christina Kathirvelan’, a rom-com thriller story produced by Dr R Prabhakar and directed by SJ Alex Pandian starts with pooja

Dr. R Prabhakar an eminent sculptor from Kumbakonam proudly presents his maiden production, titled ‘Christina Kathirvelan’ under the banner Shri Lakshmi Thirai Kalai Koodam. The film will be directed by debutant SJ Alex Pandian.

Shooting of the film ‘Christina Kathirvelan’ commenced with Pooja at Dharasuram Kamakshi Amman temple, Kumbakonam. Kaushik Ram who did lead role in the movie kalangalil Aval Vasantham is the hero of this movie.
Popular YouTubers Ravi VJ and Bhuvaneswari are doing important characters in this movie. Singam Puli, Cook with Comali fame Silmisham Shiva, Ajith Unique and TSR are also playing vital roles.

Cinematography will be done by Prahath Muniasamy. Art Director is Nandakumar. Namaskaram Saravanan is the Production Manager of this movie. Nikkil Murukan is doing the public relations work for this film. Smt. Durga Devi Pandian and Pandian are Co-Producer and Executive Producer of this movie, respectively. Editor is Guna, while music is by Hari S R.

Debutant Director SJ Alex Pandian had previously worked as Associate Director in the movie Powder, directed by Vijay Shri G who earlier made the movie Dhadha 87 and presently directing ‘Silver Jubilee Star’ Mohan for the film Haraa.

Speaking about his movie Christina Kathirvelan, the debutant director SJ Alex Pandian says, Christina Kathirvelan is a romantic comedy thriller with a social message. The problems faced by the hero who comes to the city from the village for his college education, is dealt with twists in the movie.

The story is based on the true incidents, Alex Pandian said ad added that they are planning for the shooting in areas in and around Kumbakonam. He also said that after Sethu, Christina Kathirvelan shooting is going to be held at Kumbakonam Government College.
