Nagarjuna’s action-thriller ‘Ratchan – The Ghost’, in which he plays an Interpol officer, will release in the first week of October.
Directed by Praveen Sattaru, the director of hits like ‘PSV Garudavega’ and ‘Chandamama Kathalu’, ‘Ratchan – The Ghost’ is a mega-budget film jointly produced by Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LP and Northstar Entertainment Banners.
While every big movie aims to attract Pan-Indian audience nowadays, Actor Nagarjuna has been releasing his films in other state languages for more than 20 years now. This is the main reason behind his huge fan base across the nation.
Nagarjuna is back on the Tamil screen with ‘Ratchan’ after his 2016 blockbuster ‘Thozha’. Nagarjuna will be portraying Vikram, a highly trained and extremely lethal Interpol officer. This will be a never seen before intense character for Nagarjuna.
The teaser and trailer of the film which was released last month have been well received by the fans. The trailer of the film has crossed 10 million views and counting.
Sonal Chauhan of ‘Dictator’ and ‘Ruler’ fame has been cast as female lead opposite Nagarjuna. Gul Panag and Anika Surendran also play vital roles. Mukesh G has handled the cinematography, while Dinesh Subbarayan and Kecha have designed the fight sequences. Mark K Robin, who composed for films like ‘Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya’ and ‘Shambi Reddy’, has given the background score for ‘Ratchan’.
With full on action combined with other commercial elements this film be released as a Dussera treat and will hit the theaters in the first week of October. It will be released along the telugu version ‘The Ghost – Killing Machine’. It is to be noted and remembered that 33 years ago, in 1989, Nagarjuna’s ‘Shiva’ directed by Ram Gopal Varma released in the first week of October and became a trendsetter and is still regarded as one of the best.
