On the occasion of Superstar Rajinikanth’s 74th birthday and to celebrate his 50th Golden Year in Cinema, the mega-hit film “Thalapathi” directed by Mani Ratnam and starring Rajinikanth, Mammootty, Arvind Swamy, Srividya, and Shobana, with music composed by Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja, was digitally remastered in 4K and released on a grand scale across more than 150 theaters in Tamil Nadu on Thursday, December 12, 2024, by SSI Production.
Even after 33 years since its initial release, the film has been receiving overwhelming response from audiences. Remarkably, all shows in every theater have been running houseful, despite the ongoing monsoon season, and the film continues to enjoy a victorious run.
