Queency Stanley, a national-level badminton player turned model, actor, and reality show sensation, is quickly becoming one of the most promising new talents in Indian cinema. With a unique journey that bridges the worlds of sports, fashion, and entertainment, Queency is carving out a distinctive path in the industry.
“I started my journey as a national-level badminton player,” says Queency, reflecting on her early years. “Then I began exploring modelling — something creative, something in front of the camera.”
Her leap into modelling eventually evolved into a thriving acting career. After making notable appearances in music videos and TV serials, Queency’s big break came with the reality show Bigg Boss.
Her steady rise in television paved the way for a natural progression to cinema. “Working in serials gave me discipline and on-camera experience,” Queency shares. “But films offer a different kind of creative satisfaction — the storytelling is more layered, and the canvas is much larger.” This transition marks a new chapter in her career, as she prepares to bring her screen presence and emotional depth to the big screen.
One of her most significant achievements is her role as ‘Neela’ in the Hotstar series Om Kali Jai Kali. “It’s a project very close to my heart,” she says. “From learning about culture to going through physical transformations, it felt like doing five projects at once. It taught me what dedication really means.”
As she prepares for her upcoming film debut, Queency is eager to explore new and exciting opportunities in the industry. “I want to do something commercial, bubbly, and full of love and joy.
Inspired by powerhouse performers like Suriya and Fahadh Faasil, Queency is motivated by their ability to convey powerful emotions through subtle expressions. “That kind of subtle power is something I aspire to achieve,” she says.
She is also excited about the prospect of working with legendary filmmakers like Mani Ratnam, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. “I love how they write women. Their female characters have depth, strength, and something meaningful to do.”
Fluent in Tamil and proficient in English, Telugu, and Hindi, Queency is eager to expand her reach across India’s vibrant regional film industries. “Language is never a barrier when the story is right. I’m always up for learning.”
Beyond acting, Queency’s passion for dance adds another dimension to her creative output. “I love dancing — it’s something I’m very passionate about and want to keep improving.”
In terms of screen presence, Queency is thoughtful about her approach to glamour and bold roles. “I’m open to bold roles if the story demands it.”

தொலைக்காட்சியில் அவரது பயணம் அடுத்து சினிமாவுக்கும் கூட்டி சென்றது. அந்த அனுபவம் பற்றி பேசியபோது, “சீரியல்களில் பணிபுரிவது எனக்கு ஒழுக்கத்தையும் கேமரா அனுபவத்தையும் கொடுத்தது. ஆனால் திரைப்படங்களில் நடிப்பது வித்தியாசமான அதே சமயம் அதிக திருப்தி தரக்கூடிய ஒன்று. அதன் கதை சொல்லக் கூடிய முறையும் வேறு விதமாக இருக்கும்” என்றார்.
ஹாட்ஸ்டாரில் வெளியான ‘ஓம் காளி ஜெய் காளி’ வெப்சீரிஸில் அவரது கதாபாத்திரம் ‘நீலா’ ரசிகர்களால் பாராட்டப்பட்டது. “இது என் மனதிற்கு மிகவும் நெருக்கமான வெப்சீரிஸ். கலாச்சாரத்தைப் பற்றி கற்றுக்கொள்வதில் இருந்து உடல் ரீதியான மாற்றங்களைச் சந்திப்பது வரை என ஒரே நேரத்தில் ஐந்து படங்களில் பணிபுரியும் அனுபவத்தை அந்த வெப்சீரிஸ் கொடுத்தது. அர்ப்பணிப்பு என்றால் என்ன என்பதை இந்த வெப்சீரிஸ் எனக்குக் கற்றுக் கொடுத்தது. அடுத்து திரைப்படத்திலும் நடிக்க இருக்கிறேன். கமர்ஷியலான அன்பும் மகிழ்ச்சியும் நிறைந்த படத்தில் நடிக்க விரும்புகிறேன்”
தனக்குப் பிடித்த நடிகர்களாக சூர்யா மற்றும் ஃபஹத் ஃபாசில் ஆகியோரை குறிப்பிடும் குயின்சி, அவர்களைப் போன்ற திறமையான நடிப்பை வெளிப்படுத்த விரும்புகிறார். மேலும் இயக்குநர்கள் மணிரத்னம், கௌதம் வாசுதேவ் மேனன் மற்றும் சஞ்சய் லீலா பன்சாலி போன்றோருடன் பணிபுரியும் வாய்ப்பை எதிர்நோக்கி இருப்பதாகவும் சொல்கிறார். “தங்கள் படங்களில் பெண் கதாபாத்திரங்களுக்கு இந்த இயக்குநர்கள் கொடுக்கும் முக்கியத்துவமும் கதாபாத்திர வலிமையும் எனக்கு மிகவும் பிடிக்கும்” என்றார்.
தமிழ், ஆங்கிலம், தெலுங்கு மற்றும் இந்தி ஆகிய மொழிகள் அறிந்து வைத்திருக்கும் குயின்சி, “கதை சரியாக இருக்கும்போது மொழி ஒருபோதும் தடையாக இருக்காது. புது மொழிகளை கற்றுக்கொள்ளத் தயாராக இருக்கிறேன். எனக்கு நடனம் பிடிக்கும். அதில் இன்னும் பல புது முறைகளைக் கற்றுக் கொள்ளப் போகிறேன். கிளாமர் மற்றும் போல்டான கதாபாத்திரத்தில் கதைக்குத் தேவைப்பட்டால் நடிக்கத் தயாராக இருக்கிறேன்” என்றார்.
