Mansi, Aadukalam Naren, Brahmaji, Sonia Bose, Udhayadheep play key roles in ‘Tamil Paiyyan Hindi Ponnu’
After his debut with ‘Kadhal Mattum Vena’, filmmaker and actor Sameer Ali Khan is back with his next ambitious project, ‘Tamil Paiyyan Hindi Ponnu’ – a colourful and entertaining rom-com, produced and directed by him under the Super Star Films banner. Sameer also stars as the protagonist in this stylishly crafted love story.
The film features Mansi as the female lead and includes a strong ensemble cast: Aadukalam Naren, Brahmaji, Ali, Sonia Bose, Mala Parvathi, Deepika Amin, Udhayadheep and Kumki Asvin.
Speaking about the film, Sameer Ali Khan said, “‘Tamil Paiyyan Hindi Ponnu’ is a vibrant rom-com. We have designed the film with high production value, on par with Bollywood standards, and presented it in a stylish manner. The story revolves around a Tamil boy and a Hindi girl from two very different backgrounds, who fall in love. The film humorously and emotionally captures the challenges they face and how they overcome various obstacles to unite in love.”
Born in Thrissur and raised in Coimbatore, Sameer Ali Khan holds a degree in Visual Communication. He made his directorial and acting debut with ‘Kadhal Mattum Vena’ and now returns with this cross-cultural love story that reflects his cinematic vision and storytelling flair.
The filming of ‘Tamil Paiyyan Hindi Ponnu’ has been completed across locations including Chennai, Coimbatore, and Puducherry. Post-production work is currently progressing at full swing. Sameer Ali Khan plans to release the film in August this year.

‘காதல் மட்டும் வேணா’ திரைப்படத்தை இயக்கி நடித்த சமீர் அலி கான் தற்போது ‘தமிழ் பையன் இந்தி பொண்ணு’ எனும் படத்தை தயாரித்து இயக்குவதோடு நாயகனாகவும் நடிக்கிறார்.
சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் ஃபிலிம்ஸ் பேனரில் உருவாகும் இத்திரைப்படம் ஒரு கலகலப்பான காதல் கதை ஆகும். அதிக பொருட்செலவில் பாலிவுட் படங்களுக்கு இணையாக மிகவும் ஸ்டைலான முறையில் இப்படத்தை வடிவமைத்திருப்பதாக சமீர் அலி கான் தெரிவித்தார்.
மான்சி நாயகியாக நடிக்கும் இப்படத்தில் ஆடுகளம் நரேன், பிரம்மாஜி, அலி, சோனியா போஸ், மாலா பார்வதி, தீபிகா அமின், உதயதீப், கும்கி அஸ்வின் உள்ளிட்டோர் முக்கிய வேடங்களில் நடிக்கின்றனர்.
“திருச்சூரில் பிறந்து கோயம்புத்தூரில் வளர்ந்த நான் விஸ்காம் பட்டம் பெற்ற பின்பு ‘காதல் மட்டும் வேணா’ திரைப்படத்தை இயக்கி நடித்தேன். தற்போது ‘தமிழ் பையன் இந்தி பொண்ணு’ படத்தை தயாரித்து இயக்குவதோடு முதன்மை வேடத்திலும் நடிக்கிறேன். இரண்டு வெவ்வேறு பின்னணிகளை கொண்ட நாயகனும் நாயகியும் காதலில் விழுகின்றனர். இவர்கள் காதலுக்கு எத்தகைய இடையூறுகள் எழுகின்றன அத்தனை தடைகளையும் வெற்றிகரமாக கடந்து எவ்வாறு இணைகின்றனர் என்பதை மிகவும் கலகலப்பான முறையில் கூறியிருக்கிறோம்,” என்று சமீர் அலி கான் தெரிவித்தார்.
‘தமிழ் பையன் இந்தி பொண்ணு’ படத்தின் படப்பிடிப்பு சென்னை, கோயம்புத்தூர் மற்றும் புதுச்சேரி உள்ளிட்ட இடங்களில் நடைபெற்று நிறைவு பெற்றுள்ளது. போஸ்ட் ப்ரொடக்ஷன் பணிகள் முழு வீச்சில் நடைபெற்று வருகின்றன. இத்திரைப்படத்தை வரும் ஆகஸ்ட் மாதம் வெளியிட சமீர் அலி கான் திட்டமிட்டுள்ளார்.
