On the eve of ‘International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking’, Bollywood Actor and Producer Suniel Shetty today took part in an event organised by Central Bureau Of Narcotics (CBN) which was held at Karameer Sports Complex in Andheri Mumbai. While taking part in the special awareness event as a special guest, Suniel Shetty spoke passionately about the cause and urged people to not fall into the trap of drug addiction and lead a healthy life. Expressing his views Suniel Shetty further said that drug addicts should not be treated as hardcore criminals and they shouldn’t be stigmatized or victimized but rather our society should have a sympathetic approach towards them and help them to come out of such life threatening habits. Along with Suniel Shetty, Mr. Rajesh F. Dhabre, Narcotics Commisioner (Central Bureau Of Naracotics) and Dr. Sarika Dakshikar, Associate Professor (Gokuldas Tejpal Hospital, Mumbai) also made their presence felt.

Mr. Rajesh F. Dhabre, Narcotics Commisioner (Central Bureau Of Naracotics) said, “Today we had a very comprehensive workshop where we covered all aspects of drug addictions and drug trafficking – from legal and health consequences. Through such workshops, our main motive is to decrease the crime rate in the society and help people understand the consequences of drug addiction. We have taken a pledge to make India drug addiction free society”.
