According to the policy of Amma, the co-ordinator of the Jallikattu Nayakar Kazhagan, under the guidance of the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. O. Panneerselvam, with the blessings of Theni MP Mr. O. B. Ravindranath Kumar, Mr. VP Jayapradeep, who was telecast two days ago on TV from Palamedu village, Madurai. Muniandi, in view of his poverty, sold his cow to a cattle dealer in Virudhunagar, Sattur. The bull, which belonged to the Manjamalai temple at that time, hid the vehicle in which the cow had gone and engaged in a love affair. Aware of this on TV, Mr. VP Jayapradeep rescued the cow and handed it over in the presence of the village elders and the public. The event was attended by Cholavanthan Assembly Member Mr. Manikkam M.L.A., Union Secretary Mr. Ravichandran and City Secretary Mr. V. K. Kumar, Panchayat President Mr. Selvaranisithambaram, District Secretary Mr. M. Karna and many other executives.
