Actor Arun Vijay’s scrutinizing efforts in choosing good and unique scripts keeps working successful results for him, which is illustrious with the commercial success of his recent release ‘Yaanai’. And now, the actor is all set to enthrall the audiences with an intense and emotional action thriller ‘Sinam’. With the film hitting screens tomorrow (September 16, 2022), the actor shares his working experience in this movie.
“Anger is an inherent part of everyone, and it has different forms. In particular, there is one form of anger that is prevalent among almost everyone in today’s society, where we get infuriated about many unjust and social evils but still walk away or refrain from reacting knowing that it’s of no use. The core premise of Sinam will have one such element that makes the protagonist set out and combat the odds and seek justice,” says Arun Vijay, who almost admits that he has underplayed a lot in this movie in comparison to his previous movies. He continues to add, “When director Kumaravelan narrated the script, I could feel a lease of uniqueness in my character. Having played action-packed roles and larger-than-life characters, I felt both the script and my role were interesting. There are action sequences in the film that blends well in the script in a realistic manner.”
Sharing his working experience with director Kumaravelan, Arun Vijay says, “He has the directorial proficiency as a genetic factor. His conviction and vision are absolutely perfect, and his ability to visually translate his script is amazing. My father Vijaya Kumar, the producer of this film is so happy that the film has shaped up well. The film is a package of emotions, family elements, action, thriller and it has ingredients savoring the tastes of universal audiences.”

நடிகர் அருண்விஜய்: “’சினம்’ படம் பார்வையாளர்கள் மத்தியில் தாக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்தும்!”
வித்தியாசமான மற்றும் தனித்துவமான கதைகளை தேர்ந்தெடுத்து நடித்து வருகிறார் நடிகர் அருண் விஜய். சமீபத்தில் வெளியான அவரது ‘யானை’ திரைப்படம் வணிக ரீதியாக வெற்றி பெற்றதே இதற்கு சான்று. இந்த நிலையில் GNR குமரவேல் இயக்கத்தில் நடிகர் அருண் விஜய் நடிப்பில் ‘சினம்’ திரைப்படம் நாளை திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியாக இருக்கிறது.
தீவிரமான ஆக்ஷன் த்ரில்லர் கதையாக உருவாகி இருக்கும் இந்த படத்தில் நடித்திருக்கும் அனுபவம் குறித்து நடிகர் அருண் விஜய் பகிர்ந்திருப்பதாவது, “கோபம் என்பது நம் அனைவரிடத்திலும் எதாவது ஒரு வடிவத்தில் இருக்கும். குறிப்பாக இன்றைய சமுதாயத்தில் எதாவது ஒரு கோபம் இருந்து கொண்டே இருக்கிறது. இது தவறு, அநியாயம் என கோபமடைந்தாலும் அதனால் எந்த பயனும் இல்லை என தெரிந்து விலகி செல்கிறோம். ‘சினம்’ படத்தின் மையக்கருவும் கிட்டத்தட்ட அது தான். கதாநாயகனை புறக்கணிக்க செய்யும் முரண்பாடுகளை எதிர்த்து போராடும் குணம் கொண்டவனாக இருப்பான்” என்பவர் தனது முந்தைய படங்களை விட இந்த படத்தில் நடிப்பிற்காக கூடுதல் உழைப்பை கொடுத்திருப்பதாக சொல்கிறார்.
மேலும் அவர் பேசும்போது, “இயக்குநர் குமரவேலன் இந்த கதையை என்னிடம் சொல்லிய போது, என்னுடைய கதாபாத்திரத்தில் இருந்த தனித்துவத்தை என்னால் உணர முடிந்தது. என் கதாபாத்திரம் மட்டுமல்ல, கதையும் நன்றாகவே இருந்தது. ஆக்ஷன் காட்சிகளும் கதையோடு நன்றாக பொருந்தி போனது” என்கிறார்.

எமோஷனல் த்ரில்லராக உருவாகி இருக்கும் இந்த படத்தின் அனுபவம் குறித்து இயக்குநர் குமரவேலன் பகிர்ந்து கொண்டதாவது, “’சினம்’ படம் உருவாக்கம் மற்றும் கதையில் நிறைய எமோஷன்கள் இருக்கும். இது கதைக்கும் மிக சரியாக பொருந்தி போகும். ‘ஹரிதாஸ்’ படத்திற்கு பிறகு அருண் விஜய் என்னுடைய வேலையை பாராட்டி, அடுத்து என்னுடன் பணிபுரிய விருப்பம் தெரிவித்தார். ஆனால், அதற்குள் அவர் மற்ற படங்களின் வேலைகளில் பிஸியாகி விட்டார். நானும் ‘வாகா’ படத்திற்குள் போய் விட்டேன். இதெல்லாம் முடித்து விட்டு அடுத்து இருவரும் ‘சினம்’ படத்திற்காக ஒன்றிணைந்தோம். இந்த படம் எங்கள் குழுவில் எல்லாருக்கும் திருப்தி அளிக்கும்படி நன்றாக வந்திருக்கிறது”.
‘சினம்’ கதைக்கான ஆரம்பப்புள்ளி என்ன என்பது குறித்து கேட்ட போது, “’வாகா’ படத்திற்கு பிறகு என்னுடைய பலம் என்ன என்பது தெரியாமல், ஒரு தெளிவற்ற நிலையிலேயே இருந்தேன். அந்த சமயத்தில் தான் என் தந்தை, என் முந்தைய படமான ‘ஹரிதாஸ்’ஸை குறிப்பிட்டு, அதில் இருக்கும் ‘எமோஷன்ஸ்’ தான் என்னுடைய ப்ளஸ் என்றார். அதில் இருந்து தான் ‘சினம்’ படத்தின் பயணம் ஆரம்பித்தது. த்ரில்லர் மற்றும் எமோஷன்ஸ் என அனைத்தும் கலந்த மக்களுக்கு பிடித்த வகையிலான எண்டர்டெயினர் படமாக நிச்சயம் ‘சினம்’ இருக்கும். அனைத்து தரப்பு ரசிகர்களும் எதாவது ஒரு வகையில் இந்த படத்தை தங்களது வாழ்க்கையோடு கனெக்ட் செய்வார்கள்” என்று மகிழ்ச்சியோடு பகிர்ந்து கொண்டார்.

Actor Chethan Cheenu shot to fame for playing the pair for actress Anjali in the movie ‘Karungali’, directed by filmmaker Mu. Kalangiyam. Originally known as Srinivas, which is a common name of many actors in the industry, he changed his name as Chethan Cheenu.
Although his native is Telugu, actor Chethan Cheenu had his schooling & college in Tamil Nadu alone. His father was the main reason behind his passion for cinema getting bigger. He was a child artist during that time, and had been a part of blockbuster movies like Anjali, Sethupathi IPS and few more movies, which increased his fascination for acting and cinema.
He learnt dance from the same master, who taught dance to Jr. NTR and acquired the best stunt skills from the famous Pandiyan Master. Fascinated towards modelling, Chethan got a good welcome in the respective domain as well, through which he got many advertisement offers. He appeared in the commercial advertisements for the reputed brands like Garnier, Samsung, Dominos, JoyAlukas and many more. For few days, he worked for Mumbai based Balaji TeleFilms, which played a major role in paving way for Shahrukh Khan and Madhavan from small screen to silver screen industry.
While preparing himself vigorously for the cinema profession, the actor got an offer to play the lead role in Tamil movie ‘Karungali’, through director Mu Kalangiyam. Following this movie, actor Vishal & director Thiru roped him in for an important character in his movie ‘Naan Sigappu Manithan’.
Witnessing tremendous response for his performance in this movie, Chethan Cheenu got more offers in the Telugu industry. He made his debut in Telugu cinema with the movie titled ‘Manthra-2’ that starred Charmi in the lead role.
“The movie was sequel to a blockbuster first part. According to me, Charmi is an Iron Lady, for it is not an easy job to become a producer from being an actor and handling those works.
Following Mantra-2, I was a part of yet another Telugu movie ‘Raju Gari Gadhi’, which produced at a budget of Rs. 3Cr spanned a box office collection of Rs. 18Cr.
“In this film, I played both the hero and the villain in same role, which garnered good response from the fans. Besides, I had played the lead role in another Telugu movie titled ‘Pelliki Mundhu Prema Katha’ starring Sunaina as my pair. Although I had received more offers in Telugu, I patiently waited for good story.
Actress Kaveri Kalyani, who played the female lead role in movies like Punnagai Poove, Samuthiram, Kasi and many films embarks on her directorial journey with this movie. Besides, she is producing this Pan-Indian movie that is simultaneously made in Tamil and Telugu. I am happy to play the lead role in this movie.”
“There are four heroines in this movie. Siddhi Idnani, who is now sensational for her debut in Silambarasan TR’s upcoming film ‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’ directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, is one among them. She is one of the lead opposite to me in this movie. Suhasini, Srikanth, Vijay TV fame Pugazh and any more famous actors are a part of this star cast. The film’s shooting is already completed and the postproduction work is happening in full swing.
Even now, I am having a great friendship with Anjali, who was my first movie’s heroine. When we approached her to play one of the female lead roles in this movie, directed by Kaveri Kalyani, she happily agreed to be a part of it. However, her prior commitments with other projects got rescheduled due to the lockdown owing to COVID-19.
Apart from this movie, I am also a part of ‘Vidyarthi’, a bilingual movie simultaneously made in Tamil and Telugu. The title for the Tamil version is under consideration and the official announcement regarding this, will be made soon. The film is based on real life incidents revolving around honour killings and is gearing up for release soon.”
Since both these movies are getting released in Tamil as well, it is offering me a comeback in Tamil industry after a short hiatus. Furthermore, I am doing as a main lead direct Tamil movie, produced by an Australian producer.
During the COVID-19 lockdown, I got lots of time for rest. During that time, I interacted a lot with my sister Leela Rani, a Visual Communication graduate and decided to make anthology based on 12 freedom fighters V.V.S Aiyar, Chatrapathi Sivaji, Veluthambi Dalawa, Velu Nachiyar, Veerapandiya Kattabomman and others, who had a heroic fight against the British Rule for the Freedom of India. We have significantly created 12 episodes based on these freedom fighters.
It is based on important event they encountered that changed their course of life towards the freedom of our country. Every episode will have a running length of 20 minutes, and the script works are already completed.
We have also shot a pilot version of all these 12 characters including Velu Nachiyar, where all the roles are performed by me. I went through a 1-year preparation of putting on and shedding weight, growing lengthy hair and trimming it according to the looks of all the characters.
We have approached the versatile writer Vijayendra Prasad, who is illustrious for his spellbinding writing for magnum opus works like Baahubali and RRR to craft an engrossing screenplay for all these stories. We are planning to screen the pilot shoot that we have filmed along with the story we have prepared. Once the screenplay works are completed, we will immediately kick-start the shooting.
Apart from all these preparations, I am planning to design a calendar based on my 12 different looks for this movie. I believe that this movie and calendar will open new gates for me in the near future.
When my father was working in Vahini Studios, Rajinikanth sir’s Ulaipaali, Kamal Haasan sir’s Namavvar shoot was happening. I used to watch both of them perform without a single blink in my eyes. I was deeply inspired by their sheer passion, dedication and sincerity towards acting. I was awestruck by his outstanding performance in Dasavatharam. He is the inspiration behind this movie ‘Actor’ Anthology. I am looking forward to screen this movie to both Rajini sir and Kamal Haasan after its completion.
I would like to identify and get recognized like an actor like Vijay Sethupathi, who is capable of performing any given roles with excellence. Everyone will get the right opportunity at the right time.
However, a first show on Friday morning will change the status of a star with good fortune. I strongly believe, even I will get that particular Friday, and am working vigorously to fulfil my long run dream of achieving a good status as an actor,” openly admits actor Chethan Cheenu.

இயக்குனர் மு.களஞ்சியம் இயக்கிய கருங்காலி படத்தில் அஞ்சலிக்கு ஜோடியாக நடித்து கதாநாயகனாக அறிமுகமானவர் நடிகர் சேத்தன் சீனு. ஸ்ரீநிவாஸ் என்பது இவரது பெயராக இருந்தாலும் அந்த பெயரில் இன்னும் சில நடிகர்கள் இருப்பதால் சேத்தன் சீனு என மாற்றிக்கொண்டார்.

ஜூனியர் என்டிஆர் நடனம் கற்றுக்கொண்ட அதே மாஸ்டரிடம் நடனத்தையும் பாண்டியன் மாஸ்டரிடம் சண்டையையும் கற்றுக்கொண்ட சேத்தன் சீனு, அப்படியே மாடலிங் பக்கம் கவனத்தை திருப்பினார். மாடலிங் மூலமாக விளம்பரப்பட வாய்ப்புகள் வரவே, கார்னியர், சாம்சங், டாமினோஸ், ஜாய் ஆலுக்காஸ் உள்ளிட்ட பல பெரிய நிறுவனங்களின் விளம்பரங்களில் நடித்துள்ளார். ஒரு கட்டத்தில் ஷாருக்கான், மாதவன் ஆகியோர் டெலிவிஷன்களில் நடித்து அதன்மூலம் திரையுலகில் நுழைய காரணமாக இருந்த மும்பையில் உள்ள பாலாஜி டெலிபிலிம்ஸ் நிறுவனத்திலும் கொஞ்சநாள் பணியாற்றினார்..
அப்படியே சினிமாவுக்கென முழுதாக தயாரான சமயத்தில் தான், கருங்காலி படத்தில் நடிக்கும் முதல் வாய்ப்பு இயக்குனர் மு.களஞ்சியம் மூலமாக சீனுவின் வீட்டுக்கதவை தட்டியது.. அதை தொடர்ந்து இவரை அழைத்து நான் சிவப்பு மனிதன் படத்தில் முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடிக்க வைத்தார் நடிகர் விஷால்.
இந்த படங்களின் மூலம் கிடைத்த வரவேற்பால் தெலுங்கில் அடியெடுத்து வைத்ததும் அங்கே முதல் படமாக நடிகை சார்மி கதாநாயகியாக நடித்த மந்த்ரா-2 என்கிற படத்தில் நடிக்கும் வாய்ப்பு தேடி வந்தது.
“ஏற்கனவே ஹிட்டான படத்தின் இரண்டாம் பாகம் அது.. அதுவும் ஹிட் தான்.. சார்மியை பார்க்கும்போதெல்லாம் ஒரு அயன் லேடி போலத்தான் எனக்கு தோன்றும். நடிகையாக இருந்து இப்போது தயாரிப்பாளராக மாறி அனைத்து வேலைகளையும் கவனிப்பது சாதாரண விஷயம் அல்லவே..
தெலுங்கில் மந்த்ரா-2 படத்தை தொடர்ந்து, நான் நடித்த படம் தான் ராஜூ காரி கதி.. மூன்று கோடியில் தயாரான இந்தப்படம் 18 கோடி வசூலித்து மிகப்பெரிய ஹிட் ஆனது.
“இந்தப்படத்தில் ஒரே கதாபாத்திரத்தில் ஹீரோவாகவும் வில்லனாகவும் நடித்திருந்தேன்… அதற்கு ரசிகர்களிடம் இருந்து நல்ல பாராட்டுக்கள் கிடைத்தன. மேலும் சுனைனா கதாநாயகியாக நடித்த பெல்லிக்கி முந்து பிரேமகதா என்கிற படத்திலும் கதாநாயகனாக நடித்தேன். அதை தொடர்ந்து சில வாய்ப்புகள் தேடி வந்தாலும் கூட, நல்ல கதைகளுக்காக காத்திருந்தேன்.
புன்னகை பூவே, கண்ணுக்குள் நிலவு, காசி, சமுத்திரம் உள்ளிட்ட பல படங்களில் கதாநாயகியாக நடித்த நடிகை காவேரி கல்யாணி இப்போது இயக்குனராக மாறி தமிழ், தெலுங்கில் உருவாக்கி வரும் பான் இந்திய படம் ஒன்றை இயக்கி வருகிறார். அந்தப்படத்தை அவரே தயாரிக்கவும் செய்கிறார். அந்தப்படத்தில், ஹீரோவாக நடித்துள்ளேன்..
இந்தப்படத்தில் நான்கு கதாநாயகிகள் நடித்துள்ளனர். இதில் தற்போது கவுதம் மேனன் இயக்கத்தில் வெந்து தணிந்தது காடு படத்தில் சிம்புவுக்கு ஜோடியாக நடித்துள்ள சித்தி இத்னானியும் ஒருவர். அவர்தான் படத்தில் எனக்கு பிரதான ஜோடியாக நடித்துள்ளார். சுகாசினி, ஸ்ரீகாந்த், விஜய் டிவி புகழ் உள்ளிட்ட பல நடிகர்கள் இதில் நடித்துள்ளனர். இந்தப்படத்தின் படப்பிடிப்பு முடிவடைந்து போஸ்ட் புரொடக்சன் பணிகள் நடைபெற்று வருகின்றன.
இப்போதும் எனது முதல் பட கதாநாயகி அஞ்சலியுடன் நல்ல நட்பு தொடர்கிறது. காவேரி கல்யாணி இயக்கிய படத்தில் நான்கு கதாநாயகிகளில் ஒருவராக நடிக்க அஞ்சலியை கேட்டோம். சந்தோஷமாக ஒப்புக்கொண்டார்.. ஆனால் கோவிட் காரணமாக அவர் நடித்துவந்த படங்களின் தேதிகள் மாறியதால் இந்த படத்தில் அவரால் நடிக்க முடியவில்லை..
இதுதவிர தெலுங்கு, மற்றும் தமிழில் உருவாகி வரும் வித்யார்த்தி என்கிற படத்தில் நடித்து வருகிறேன். தமிழில் இதன் டைட்டில் பரிசீலனையில் உள்ளது. ஆணவக்கொலையை மையப்படுத்தி உண்மையில் நடைபெற்ற சம்பவங்களின் அடிப்படையில் இந்தப்படம் உருவாகியுள்ளது இதுவும் ரிலீஸுக்கு தயாராக இருக்கிறது.
இந்த இரண்டு படங்களும் தமிழிலும் வெளியாவதால் இதன்மூலம் ஒரு சிறிய இடைவெளிக்கு பிறகு தமிழுக்கு திரும்புகிறேன். அதுமட்டுமல்ல, தற்போது ஆஸ்திரேலிய தயாரிப்பாளர் ஒருவரின் தயாரிப்பில் தமிழில் உருவாகும் ஒரு படத்திலும் நடித்து வருகிறேன்….
கோவிட் காலகட்டத்தில் நிறைய ஒய்வு நேரம் கிடைத்தது. அந்த சமயத்தில் விஸ்காம் ஸ்டூடன்ட் ஆன என்னுடைய தங்கையுடன் இணைந்து இந்தியாவின் பல்வேறு பகுதிகளில் சுதந்திரத்திற்காக போராடிய வி.வி.எஸ்.ஐயர், சத்ரபதி சிவாஜி, வேலுத்தம்பி தலவா, வேலு நாச்சியார், வீரபாண்டிய கட்டபொம்மன் என 12 சுதந்திர போராட்ட வீரர்களின் கதைகளை ஆக்டர் என்கிற பெயரில் ஆந்தாலாஜி படமாக எடுக்கலாம் என முடிவு செய்து 12 எபிசோடுகளுக்கான கதைகளையும் நானும் என் தங்கையும் இணைந்து உருவாக்கியுள்ளோம்…
அதாவது அவர்களது வாழ்க்கையில் நடந்த, முக்கியமான, அவர்கள் மிக தீரமாக எதிர்கொண்ட ஒரு விஷயத்தை மையமாக வைத்து, இருபது நிமிடங்கள் என்கிற அளவில் ஒவ்வொருவரின் எபிசோடையும் உருவாக்க திட்டமிட்டுள்ளோம்…
அதற்கு முன்னதாக வேலு நாச்சியார் உட்பட இந்த 12 கதாபாத்திரங்களிலும் நானே நடிக்கிறேன் என்பதால் இதற்காக கடந்த ஒரு வருட காலத்திற்கும் மேலாக எனது உடல் எடையை ஏற்றி இறக்கி, முடியை ஒவ்வொரு கதாபாத்திரத்திரும் ஏற்றாற்போல் வளர்த்து அந்தந்த கதாபாத்திரங்களாக மாறி, ஒவ்வொரு எபிசோடுக்கான பைலட் சூட்டையும் நடத்தி முடித்துள்ளோம்..
இந்த கதைகளை அழகாக திரைக்கதை அமைத்து வடிவமைத்து தரும்படி பாகுபலி, ஆர்ஆர்ஆர் போன்ற பிரமாண்ட படங்களுக்கு கதை எழுதிய விஜயேந்திர பிரசாத்தை அணுகியுள்ளோம்.. அவரை நேரில் சந்திக்கும்போது நாங்கள் உருவாக்கிய கதையுடன் இந்த பைலட் காட்சிகளையும் அவரிடம் காட்ட இருக்கிறோம். முழுமையான திரைக்கதை கிடைத்தவுடன் படப்பிடிப்பை துவங்க திட்டமிட்டுள்ளோம்.
இதுதவிர இந்த 12 கதாபாத்திரங்களில் நடிக்கும் எனது 12 விதமான தோற்றங்களை கொண்டு ஒரு அழகான காலண்டர் ஒன்றை வடிவமைக்கும் யோசனையும் மனதில் இருக்கிறது.. இந்த படமும் இந்த காலண்டரும் கூட நாளை எனக்கான புதிய வாசலை திறந்துவிட கூடும் என்கிற நம்பிக்கையும் இருக்கிறது. .
எனது தந்தை வாஹினி நிறுவனத்தில் பணியாற்றிய சமயத்தில் ரஜினி சாரின் உழைப்பாளி, கமல் சாரின் நம்மவர் ஆகிய படங்களின் படப்பிடிப்பு நடைபெற்றது. அந்தசமயத்தில் அவர்களை வைத்த கண் வாங்காமல் பார்ப்பேன்.. அவர்கள் இருவரையும் அவர்களது கடின உழைப்பையும் நடிப்புக்கான அர்ப்பணிப்பு உணர்வையும் தான் இன்ஸ்பிரேஷனாக மனதில் கொண்டுள்ளேன்.. தசாவாதாரம் பார்த்து பிரமித்தவன் நான். இந்த ஆக்டர் ஆந்தாலாஜி படத்தை உருவாக்குவதற்கு கமல் சார் தான் எனக்கு இன்ஸ்பிரேஷன்.. இதை எடுத்து முடித்ததும் கமல்-ரஜினி இருவரிடம் இந்தப்படத்தை காட்ட விரும்புகிறேன்.
நடிகர் விஜய்சேதுபதி போல எந்த கதாபாத்திரம் என்றாலும் நடிக்க கூடிய ஒரு நல்ல நடிகராகவே என்னை அடையாளப்படுத்திக்கொள்ள விரும்புகிறேன்.. எல்லோருக்கும் ஒரு நேரம் வரும்.. ஒரு வெள்ளிக்கிழமை காலை ஷோ ஒரு நடிகரின் தலையெழுத்தையே மாற்றி அவரை ஸ்டார் ஆக்கிவிடும்.. எனக்கென ஒரு வெள்ளிக்கிழமை நிச்சயம் இருக்கும் என்கிற நம்பிக்கையில் விடாமுயற்சி செய்து வருகிறேன்” என தனது மனதில் உள்ளவற்றை வெளிப்படையாக பேசினார் சேத்தன் சீனு..
