Tamil Nadu, Chennai, October 28, 2023: The Rajasthani Association Tamil Nadu conducted its grand and vibrant annual Rajasthani Bazaar at St. George’s School, Kilpauk on 28th & 29th October 2023. The inauguration ceremony of this two-day extravaganza was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including Kalaimamani Sukanya Ramesh, Neelima Rani, and Mr. Jagadish Burad, Managing Director of Refex Industries.

The Rajasthani Bazaar showcased India’s diverse artistic talents, with over 150 stalls featuring artisans from Jodhpur, Surat, Lucknow, Bangalore, and many other cities. Attendees explored a wide range of products, including jewelry, accessories, footwear, fashion, furniture, and home décor items. In particular, jewelry enthusiasts were delighted to find a dedicated pavilion showcasing exquisite pieces from renowned brands such as Challani Jewellers, EF-IF Diamonds, JJ Jewellery Mart, Dias, Jewelsha, Sri Surya Jewellers, and many more.
What made this event even more special was its charitable purpose. All proceeds generated from the exhibition will be channeled into providing INR 50,00,000 worth of scholarships to college students, supporting food and book banks, and contributing to various other charitable causes championed by the Rajasthani Association Tamil Nadu.
Visitors to the Rajasthani Bazaar also savoured the flavors of Rajasthan through a variety of authentic dishes at the food stalls. In the evening of both days, cultural enthusiasts were enthralled with captivating Rajasthani cultural shows, featuring live performances by the Alankar musical group performing traditional Rajasthani folk art forms such as Kalbelia, Ghoomar, Bhawai, and Chari which was inaugurated by Actor Prem Kumar on 28th October evening.
Narendra Srisrimal Chairman of Rajasthan Expo, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “This year’s Rajasthani Bazaar promises to be a true testament to the unity and culture that highlights our nation’s rich heritage. In line with the commitment of the Rajasthani Association Tamil Nadu to cater to the needs and welfare of people, the proceeds from the Rajasthani Bazaar will be dedicated to the same cause.” Mohanlal Bajaj, President Expo; Praveen Tatia, Co-Chairman Expo Committee; Hemant Dugar, Co-Chairman Expo Committee; Dilip Chandan, Co-Chairman Expo Committee participated in the arrangements of the Bazaar and were present on-dias.
The exhibition is open from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM on Saturday and from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM on Sunday. The cultural shows kick off at 5:30 PM on Saturday and 4:30 PM on Sunday.
This year’s Rajasthani Bazaar is not just an exhibition; it’s an experience that brings the essence of Rajasthan to Chennai while making a positive impact on the community.

About Rajasthani Association of Tamil Nadu:
Established 55 years ago under the auspices of (late) CN Annadurai, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, the organization has been working conscientiously towards the upliftment of the poor and needy, providing education, disaster, and medical relief in times of emergency situations.
One of their noteworthy contributions was the MOHINIDEVI HIRACHAND NAHAR RAJASTHANI DHARMASALA to the Cancer Institute, Adyar in 1995 to accommodate a minimum of 100 patients and their attendants. During the Covid pandemic, Rajasthani Association, Tamil Nadu, rose to the need of the hour to reach out to as many Rajasthani migrants in the state and donated Rs 25 Lakhs to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Beyond this, the association has actively been contributing to various health, educational, and social welfare activities, cementing its role as a cornerstone of community service in the region.
